    Last year I bought 2020 ST version of this car. Before that I usually drove mk 7.5 gti performance and oh boy, what a difference. I remapped the cupra and now it literally flies like mad. I love it, because it has this "sleeper" look to it, nobody expects 0-100 kmh in about 4 seconds in a Seat wagon, and 100-200 kmh is also very impressive. And it moves in every condition. Dry, wet, snow... You put your foot down and it just goes.

      I bet your ST is awesome, is it the 4Drive version? Would've loved to have the estate version of this car in manual! Thanks so much for watching by the way :)

      @@WheelzonWheels yeah it's 4drive version. I would also love to have this thing in manual. Prefacelifted ST model was fwd and had manual option I think, facelifted had only dsg and 4drive.

      What do you think about the sound?
      I bought mine in september 2022 and I'm still unhappy with the exhaust. I just don't want to spend 3000€ for an exhaust and another 2,8k for a downpipe to make it sound like a pre gpf cupra with a res delete

    • @BastarD
      @BastarD 2 месяца назад

      @@gLOWbalx it's worse than GTI, so the sound is pretty bad. But I kinda like it. No attention whatsoever. it's a silent sleeper missile.

    It's been my dream car for years and i'm getting real close. After two 2nd gen cupras i now own 3rd gen 1.8 tsi. Next one will be the 3rd gen pre lift (better looking) cupra.

      @@vubevube same here, I think the 3rd gen Cupra looks fantastic, and I agree the pre facelift is probably the best looking! Although the 2nd gen Cupra’s are awesome too.

    Yes, the answer is yes. Now I will watch the video. 😄
    EDIT: You can quickly switch to sport mode by pulling the shifter towards you once while in Drive mode. This will put you in Sport mode immediately, without the need to push buttons on the infotainment system. Kind of a hidden feature, not many people know about it (this works on all DSG cars with Sport mode, even sedans). In Sport mode it will start changing gears in 4-5-6K RPM and when slowing down it will gear down, not up, like in Comfort mode. In my experience there is not much noticeable difference between Sport and Cupra modes anyway (I have 2016 290 stock).
    Also, unfortunately it is not full LED package.. the reverse light is regular bulb.. 😂

      Great tip with sport mode on the gearbox, I can't believe I never tried that! I've sold the car now so I guess I'll never know. :(
      Thanks for watching :)

    • @culpanhd8876
      @culpanhd8876 Месяц назад +1

      That will only make the gearbox and engine become sport. However it will not affect the steering and suspension if your have dynamic chasis control which most Cupra’s do. If you put ut in sport through the menu it will make steering and suspension heavier. If you put it on cupra then it will change your diff. (I think making it a open did not sure)

    • @WheelzonWheels
      @WheelzonWheels  Месяц назад

      @@culpanhd8876 ah yes that makes sense, setting the suspension to Sport or Cupra makes a massive difference, so changing the mode on the screen is necessary then 🤔

    I made sure my mk3.5 Cupra 300 was manual... easier to heel and toe than my mk1 LCR and my mk2.5 Cupra as well

      @WheelzonWheels it's great. I can enforce an overrun crackle by heel and toeing or just rev matching. Very similar to a '92 Diablo SV I used to drive. Standard Cupra 300 as well.

      That was when it had a weird broken aftermarket valve system in the exhaust, that was removed after the remap but never taken back to the Dyno. My bum dyno says it deffo gained a few horses after I sorted the exhaust out :)
