That’s exactly what I was thinking! I was scrolling through the comments, like..surely someone has already tried to tell her. I’m glad you said something!! The only thing I don’t like about those kinds of bookmarks is they can leave indentations in the book if you push them down too far/hard.

I read the starless sea at the beginning of 2020 and it instantly became an all time favourite!! so beyond happy to hear that it's now one of your favourites because I just don't see anyone talking about it (or if they did they didn't like it) and I've been on bookstagram/following the book community for 4 years now so I love that it's finally getting the recognition it deserves!! also taking this video as my sign to finally do a reread🐝🗡🗝💙
I read it around the same time and felt the same way! I’ve also only seen recent talk of it from people who didn’t enjoy it 🥲 I’m so happy to hear others are enjoying it still and I’m excited to re-read it now!

My current reads are Keeper of the Lost Cities and getting back to reading Clockwork Princess and an audiobook with the physical copy has been helping me get through the book. I am over halfway through the book, criedand mad at the book because my heart. So February is dedicated to quotes from this book. Excited to get to my other reads this month.

I just finished The Starless Sea and OMG Katie… I was looking through your vlogs to see if you already read it, and your thoughts so I can rant about it too Lol… I LOVED IT, I mean, you’re right when you say it’s a feeling… there were a lot of years since a book has streaked me this hard (in the good way). The use of language is stunning: all the metaphors, the allegories, the attention to detail and the poetic references (*chef’s kiss) I wrote in my reading journal: you can call Zachary Ezra Rawlings now Lol, I too felt so close to the protagonist And the fact that you made an origami star!!OMG definitely a sign, I’m certain, I didn’t experience anything like that but I guess it felt like “everything” 💜

i just read the starless sea last month and it's become a new favorite! i immediately wanted to reread it once i finished. i'll probably do that next year because i feel like i didn't fully get the last part of the book and i want to catch all the little details i missed and annotate my copy

I think it’s possibly my favorite book and holds a special place in my heart. Hearing you talk about it reminded me of everything I love about it and now I want to re-read it. 😭
