Why do you suggest split rings over jump rings? How do I put split rings on? How do you properly open a jump ring and why are some open and some closed? These are some of the questions I answer all the time, so I thought I could demonstrate a few uses and a basic understanding of a few of the tools used to apply them.
I have recently started to make charm bracelets. I purchased all items needed without knowing how to use them. This video was so helpful. I will be sharing with everyone I know. 😊
I am new to jewellery making and have looked everywhere to know what to fit the clasps into and now I have found the answer - the jump rings and also you have demonstrated how to go about it. Thankyou so much!!
Thankyou very much. Superp !!! Easy to follow and great camera shots . We can see exactly what you are doing. I am a begginer on this hobby and I believe that I can give a try by following your videos. 😍🤩
I loved the video, why people Wana complain about the nails is beyond me, they didn't get in my way, I came looking and got what I needed, I had been opening the jump rings wrong all along lol thanks so much!
we have complained because that is what we feel, it's a comments section, for comments. Duh!
Thank you for recommending the jump ring opener!
Of course!!
Thanks for the video. Gave it a like for not cutting and leaving all the mistakes in and giving us a realistic impression of the difficulty involved. I hope this video made you a lot of sales! Putting this stuff together properly isn't rocket science but it's not falling off a log either. You earn every penny you make selling it.
Thanks for the video. I recently bought some split rings as the charms kept falling off my bangles. This has been a great help .
I know this video is not current, but I have to thank you so much for demonstrating how to use split rings. I bought these by mistake for jumprings and got frustrated because I didn't know how to use them for my earrings. Now I know how to use them. I'm glad I didn't throw them away. Please keep the vids coming!! Your vids have also helped make make a beautiful stretch bracelet.
This video is 15 years old now, and the information is still current and correct.

I hope you can help me. Is there a way to SEAL the opening of a jump ring permanently?
You can solder the ring shut after you've closed it as in the video.
where can I find the "linking" ring?
THANK YOU!!!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙄🙄🙄
The nails!! Gotta go if you're going to show us how to do stuff. I had to look at the video a couple of times, because the nails got in the way. Otherwise, good instructions. Thanks!!
Very useful, but you should seriously consider keeping your nails short if this is what you are actually doing.
We unfortunately do not carry linking rings anymore. Sorry!
I did it myself. I used Woodglut woodworking plans for this.
Your nails getting in the way was distracting, otherwise a good instruction video.
Thank you!
Thank you!
