Omg! Are you serious! I've been doing this wrong! I didn't know there was a right way to open jump rings! Thanks for sharing! Really appreciate it!

Great tip on rocking the end back and forth to add a little bit of strength to the metal.

    Thank you
    Very educational.
I've got a custom choker style Cuban Chain with my initials on it that my parents got me for my birthday had some really loose jump rings on them it was concerning me cuz of the weight on the closing hook part that It would fall through . It's been bugging me for awhile but thanks to this tutorial I was able to get them perfectly aligned. Chainmail part is quite cool to know.

Right on! Yep, anytime a friend brings me a broken necklace to fix, it's almost always just a loose jumping. It's a good technique to know :)

"We could make them. We have the technology...
...We can make them better than they were. Better, stronger, faster!" 😄😄

I thought I have been doing it correctly but my jump rings are distorted. After I have joined the ring I have to turn and squeeze jump ring to try to get it flat circle again. As the distorted jump ring would cause my earrings to hang differently. I’ll do some practice today with the jump ring only. I hope I can message you again if my jump rings are still distorted. Thank you for the video. Amy
