Omgggg i’m so glad I found your channel! I am having my hysterectomy in a week. Unfortunately my fibroids are too large for laparoscopic so I’m having the abdominal surgery. Thanks for sharing your experience 🙏
If you don’t mind sharing, how was your experience because I have to have the same procedure in one month and I’m I’m terribly nervous. Tks
I have watched so many videos about hysterectomy and yours is the first to mention the insurance aspect of things. I will check with my insurance to see if the 30 day rule applies. Your video was very informative! Thank you!
So glad I found your vid. I am due to have a cervical Biopsy done at the end of the month. I was thinking I would get it done and just go to work. Smh thank you for putting this out here.
Oh wow, I hope you recover quickly. ❤️
Thank you I am doing well!
Thank you sharing your Journey with us. 🥰
Absolutely! I can’t wait to share more!
I am so glad you are doing this and the way you are keeping women informed. I will keep you in my prayers for a smooth recovery and trust that your surgeon and his staff will be compassionate and alert and handle you with the utmost care. You are in my thoughts and prayers 🙏♥️
Thank you and this has been the most amazing experience. I want other women to know it’s ok!
Wow, such a big time in your life. Good luck. I’ll keep you in my prayers for the best outcome. ✨🙌✨
Thank you! I was so ready! Part 2 is coming soon!
Thank you for this video! 🙏🏽I’m getting a hysterectomy in a week. Same fibroid situation. This made me feel a little better about my decision.
The absolute best decision of my life! Once you feel that pain and pressure is gone and instantly your health upgrades. How are you feeling post surgery?
I don’t understand why you couldn’t book your surgery more than 30 days out?! I’m having a total hysterectomy in 2 weeks and I was able to booked my surgery 2 months out. Thanks for all the great info!
I booked mine for two months out and didn’t need all that testing only had a ultrasound
Totally respect your decision about the procedure the medical community thinks they know what’s best for us women but most times they don’t know. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Thanks for your support. We must advocate for ourselves!
Thank you for sharing. I’m having my surgery soon. Two blood transfusion bleeding over 35 days I’m so tired .
I can only imagine the tiredness you must feel. I know you’ll feel better in no time and your story will help other women just like you. I am sending you my prayers.
@@Curlyhairalchemist Thank you.
Maria, I feel your frustration. Sending positive energy to you 💕. I had episodes of bleeding that wouldn't stop and at the longest lasted a year. My most recent episode was a couple months with major hemorrhaging and pain. I finally said enough, I want a hysterectomy. For years I had been told my insurance wouldn't cover it unless I exhausted every other option. I finally contacted my insurance company directly and found out I could have had the surgery YEARS ago with no prior authorization needed. I'm about a week post surgery now. The surgery itself was so easy. I had a robotic laparoscopic surgery & kept my ovaries. It's such a relief to know I'll never have non-stop severe hemorrhaging again. The only regret is I didn't have it done back in 2013 when my issues started.
@@jewals-healingrose222 how are you feeling during recovery? It’s a disgrace what the medical industry does to avoid us removing the very organ that causes so much distress to our health. I’m so happy you’ll never bleed again.
@@Curlyhairalchemist I got a block that made things much easier initially as far as pain, especially since I can't take acetaminophen or ibuprofen. One of the biggest helps that I recommend all the time for anyone getting surgery or to help with pain in general is arnica. Arnica is great with swelling, bruising, and pain!
Thank you beautiful
I scheduled my November hysterectomy in August, and over the phone. That is only your surgeon/hospital that had a 30-day scheduling policy. Why did you need an MRI? I didn't have that either. I'm 43 and getting a hysterectomy (cervix, uterus, tubes) in a couple weeks.
I'm not having any blood work pre-surgery either?
Meg thxs so much im nervous ive been diagnosed with fibroids...im scared..
Hello Michelle, I was nervous too. But if you are sick of your fibroids making you feel sick and tired, I know you’ll conquer your fear. I am making part 2 in a few days as I am feeling better during recovery. I hope part 2 gives you reassurance for your next steps.
I’m part of the grapefruit sized uterine fibroid crew. Partial hysterectomy coming soon
What was the size of your fibroids
You don't "have to" get a cervical biopsy to get a hysterectomy? I didn't (year 2023). What is wrong with these doctors of yours?
Hello Meg, I really hope that everything goes well for you and whatever you need, I am at your disposal, if you need me to donate blood for your surgery, I will gladly do it
Hello Marlon thank you for your support. If you’d like to donate blood you’d want to know your blood type as not everyone is compatible with certain blood types.
