Are you using an adjustable gas piston setup? Have to assume so, but with as over-gassed as AKs are (by design) if you're not - you're going to run into gassing and cycling issues. It has nothing to do with PSA or any other brand, and this is true for any 5.56 AK. Once you can adjust the gas, however, they run like a sewing machine. Sorry if this is known, just didn't catch a word or evidence to one way or the either. Thanks!
I think I'm going to get the PSA AK101 without the folding stock. I'd rather have the folder but they have a great deal on the non folder. Is yours running good?
So far yeah it is. Only have about 130 rounds through it, it has functioned fine on brass and steel cased ammo. I’ve only shot it suppressed but I’d imagine it would function just fine stock.

I have PSA gf5 103 and gonna get 102 next. I am gonna only get PSA AKs from now on. Best AKs ever made. There was also PSA Spyker meltdown posted recently, check it out.

Yes I’m using an adjustable piston. It shoots really smooth when tuned correctly

If I had to pick I’d go with the 416
the ar was made for jungle environments, take the ak in the snow.

So far so good. I only have about 5-600 rounds through it though. None of the wear issues that some of the other AK101s had from PSA.

How did it shoot with the stock piston? Was it flinging brass into space?
I never shot it with the stock one. I planned to suppress from the get go so I installed the kns piston before I shot it
