- The French tech tree in War Thunder has a lot of underrated tanks, but probably my favorite is the AMX-13 light tank. There's a premium version that is the exact same thing but with anti-tank missiles slapped onto it. It is an exceptionally fun and effective vehicle.

I'm normally sympathetic to Spook's CAS woes, but him missing the A-1H with the missile and the gun, then realizing he's stuck before getting squished like a bug by Zunis was peak comedy.
Attempt 62 Challenge: For high tier support a nations MBT with its respective APC/IFV counterpart (ie Abrams/Bradley, T90/BMP2M, etc.) Challenge is keeping the other player alive and supporting it without stealing kills (breaking barrels, tracking, repairing, etc) it being a random should help make it interesting.

I actually love doing that on mobile because I don't have a PC and I usually use the marder
Now this “creature” is known as a mobile player. They are much less hostile than PC players and are indeed approachable. They touch grass on a daily basis. They are the only species of War Thunder player that does such. @josu-ni2fx

the cromwell rp3 is pretty good tho, these rockets have some decent explosive filler and tend to overpressure medium tanks
@@kryp7777ong, its one of my most played tanks. you really just have to learn how to aim, and rockets give easy kills but imo should be used if you cant shoot them

I felt you, Spooks. I non-penned the flat side of a panther with a shell that pens 190mm, had his barrel and track broken, and he pulled a 15 second reload out of his ass and killed me exactly as my tank fired. Saw my tank recoil and everything, but no shell came out

Fun fact: you can disconnect your keyboard guided ATGM by entering binocular view, the missile will just continue on the trajectory and you will stop controlling it thus allowing you to move away

Hey Spookston, at 3:03 when you assumed you were scouted, you can actually check. In the bottom right near the tank view if your scouted it'll show a little binoculars icon
thats your crew vision and it goes does as you lose crew health

Attempt 11 at getting spookston to play the amx 50 surbiasse, the catch is he has to use HE only.
Day 21 of telling spookston to play the IT1. its a ATGM launcher on the t62 chassis, it has decent-ish mobility, the turret is squished. You can hide behind cover and shoot ATGM over the cover like a gremlin and you overpressure tanks (tho it can be rare, but it does happen without you realizing) and its MG is really werid. Also it has a cool reload animation.

This little tank's amazing, I love bringing it in with some of my higher tier vehicles, you can use the missiles and spam them if somebody comes around the corner and doesn't paying attention
hey spooker, cant tell if ya just a little sleepy guy or not but when your scouted there's a little bino icon at the bottom left and for the past while would be like "I hope I'm not spotted" and i would just look down at the bottom left and sit there and look like that image of the dog side eyeing the camera
that bino icon is your crew vision. It goes down as your crew gets injured, shown by the circle around it

Day 126 You should play a tank with hydropneumatic suspension (recommend the MBT-70) But the catch is you have to drop the suspension as low as it can go for the whole match.

Giorno 7 of asking spookston to play my favourite tank, the ikv 91-105. Decent mobility, VERY good cannon (Sweden rules)
I'd recommend the Type 61 from Japan, but using only HEAT-FS. 6.7 with NVD, a laser rangefinder, and a scope that let's you see the skin pores of the enemy you're shooting at, but i swear since the last patch, the HEAT bounces as much as APCR.

When I saw the notification, I thought the video would be about RBT-5… Not so different though.
manually guided missiles are usually worse than saclos missiles, but for this one specifically it's not that bad because the missile launcher actually elevate and depress in line with where you aim making it fire like a gun launch ATGM but with manual controls.
at this point all variants for ATGMs in the game are sidegrades to each other rather than proper upgrades

A reminder that the Type 60 ATM is at the same BR, and it's an APC with no armor, a .50 cal, and only two missiles that are far worse than these.

Actually oscillating turrets generally have more depression it's just that the french wanted the tanks very small.
I know Spookston may not even see this but I want to thank him for putting up these videos.
Ultimately I had to stop playing War Thunder due to health problems being caused by the stress it gave me when playing (as well as the rage) so I can only experience the game vicariously through these videos.

in the French spirit, I'm having a miserable time playing the AMX-10P so I'd love to see you play it.
Technically yeah depth perception doesn't work when looking at single screens. Your brain will just use context clues to assign a guesstimate at depth like looking at a painting done in perspective though same as when you close one eye you don't suddenly feel like everything is flat. Its also why a lot of the tricks to make flat images look better on monitors don't work in VR.
