    You really do make the most excellent video of instructions, I am a life long knitter but I still enjoy watching such good value instructions for knitters that need help, not only is your video instructions clear as can be but the ability to describe is second to none that I have seen on you tube. Thank you for helping our craft.

    Thank you. I used to knit as a child due to spending months in hospital . I knit 3 fisherman’s rib jumpers back then but I wanted to start a project on circular needles and this was really helpful for that as well as refreshing my memory some 34 years on!

    Thank you for making this slow motion of fisherman's Rib. I made an attempt a year ago at this pattern but couldn't quite understand where to put the knit and purl below. This was immensely helpful.

    I love all your videos. Thanks for all your work. I’ve never knit this pattern and hopefully this isn’t a really silly question but do you not double your stitch count on each round?

    • @verypinkknits
      @verypinkknits  2 года назад

      No, the stitch count does not double unless you deliberately increase.

    I was familiar with the term Fisherman's rib, but never really looked into how the stitch was done. After watching this video I love the results and am wondering if it would be able to be substituted in a pattern that calls for a regular 1x1 rib? For example, would you be able to cast on the called for stitches and still work the pattern decreases and so on, but use the Fisherman's rib stitch? Or is there more to consider, like gauge?

    I live in the country and my local shop has stopped selling yarn 😢 I have always bought Red Heart, but am now considering, since I'm going to have to order it by mail now anyways, going to Herrschners or some other reputable company. In your opinion, what company sells yarn closest resembling Red Heart. Thank you.

      It's not an easy answer. The pattern I have for a fisherman's rib hat was a lot of work to make the crown decreases look right...I recommend following a pattern unless you are ready to knit, rip out, reknit, rip out...lots of trial and error.
