This is a nice story but I disagree with boyfriend and girlfriend getting involved in discussing legal cases. Confidential information should be kept by the lawyers and Law Firms not with outsiders especially boyfriend, girlfriend, husband and wife, any relative for that matter. It should be between the lawyer and his Client. She should not track him down unless it's for their personal relationship. I totally disagree. If she wanted her brother to know her whereabouts, she would have told him. There must be a reason why!

She’s actually making it worse for him and making his mental issue worse by totally taking his parental right away. She assume that he’s going to be a danger when he hasn’t been a danger is just her jealousy that she dumped him because of his mental issue, and he moved on to someone else and She’s kind of jealous that he wasn’t crying over her but the kid instead. This mom needs to really think about what she’s doing.

A woman I worked with lost custody of her child from refusing her ex from his joint custody rights, it is very unusual , but it can happen.
If the child's Dad is paying alimony & child support, she has no legal right to obstruct the father from seeing the child. She's creating lots of problems for herself. If she has legitimate concerns the court can provide supervision during visitation.
