I think we all got here via mats channel, however with his success he’s moving into far more expensive builds, where as builds like this are far more relatable/enjoyable imo. Thanks for the content, really enjoying this build
Chris pal you and Matt inspired me to work on cars, and now I’ve just got accepted into motor mechanics for my course so I’ll be working on cars for the next 3 years, hopefully learn how to repair cars like you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏼
Nice one Chris, it’s good to see you pushing yourself and learning along the way. I also like your honesty, you could have just said you did all the removing of the spot welds but admitting it was draining and time consuming so you asked for some help makes thing more real for those of us that might want to do something similar. RUclipsrs can have a habit of making things seem a lot more straightforward than they are. The genuine ones like yourself, Mat Armstrong and even Taverish show it how it is and that goes along way to your credibility. Keep up the great work I look forward to the next videos 👍🇬🇧
Loving this build. As much as I love the Jag build I think I prefer cars like this i30N because it’s seems more attainable for the man on the street. Keep up the good work.
Been waiting too see this video.. had an i30n myself and as an x Hyundai mechanic i know how simple and easy they are to work with... looking out for a damaged one now for myself
Chris, you literally did what I had to do with a car that I just repaired couple of months ago (first time as well)😂 Well, actually... I had to replace the whole skin of a chassis leg and I do know the pain of removing these spot welds don't wanna do it again if I can help it 😂
This is a brilliant video! Funny as well becuase I literally just put those wishbone strengthening brackets on my car last night too! The difference is night and day, car is so much more precise and doesn't wheelspin anywhere near as much. I have a feeling your car will be better than it was before it's crash!
Wireless Apple play no no you use it. And all of a sudden you realise your battery on your phone is dying. So you end up plug in your phone in anyway All the best like to video,
Hi Chris Best, easiest way & quickest way to drill spot welds is with a step drill bit in a impact wrench /driver like knife through butter give it a go fella & double the amount of content time👍👍 like the videos keep them going 👍👍
Its ok you don’t have to like every car, everyone has different taste! If i could afford to constantly do builds like the jag i probably would still have a hot hatch too 😅

Loved what u done with the finished Jag chris can't wait when u finish this one
Top work as ever Chris, pleased to see you just cracking on with it and getting things done! 💪
Well done champ you are Chris 😊
Probably need to wax oil inside those replaced body parts, or it will rust from the inside out. Well done though another step closer!
Use a bit of Penetrating oil spray next time when drilling out rivets. Gets but sharp and lasts longer.
Really impressed with the work you do and good quality videos keep up the good work💪
Looking good Chris 😊
Looking better week by week Chris. Gotta love a hot hatch re-build 👍🏻
Great project and like the strengthing wishbone plates.
476 unread text messages… I couldn’t sleep at night 😂 loving the videos mate!
New video as soon as I get back from work 👌.
Great video Chris

Hi Chris, car is looking good, coming on a treat, nice little motor 👍👍👍
Looking forward to see what other mods happen to this 😮💨
I dont think your ready 😅

Bolts a bit long on those strengthening plates and no washers? Even flanged nuts would be an improvement.
Who has 476 unread messages 🤣🤣 seriously though, love this build!!
Perfect timing when i refreshed my page💪
I second this!
Good job on the spot welds 💪🏻
Aww no no paint through primer before welding, going to rot away quite quick
Can you weld on paint? What i see is, no primer underneath the 'seamsealer' whats gonna rot
@Gavier Le yep you can get weld through primer
Great job bro 😎 keep up the amazing content ❤
Nice work on what you do on car flipping
@@MICKOLO thanks 🙏 bro 😎 appreciate it.
I though u would put a stage 2 intercooler in been u was changing the front now if u won’t to put a stage 2 map u got to take the front off again
Brilliant video Chris. The back ground music you play around 10mins 22 sec what's the title
i love this car, can't wait to see what you do to it💯👍
Make sure and just replace with the standard airbox, on the pre face lift its the best solution. Everything else gets too much heat soak
Loving this... Tho Hyundai will want to give u a lesson on pronunciation... It's Hyun-day!!! Hahaha
Slix looking slick.... Wassup 🇿🇦
What was the music/song being played at 9:56? Does anyone know. Thanks.
amazing work welldone
As always , love watching these videos
Another good video 🚘🚙🚗⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👍
have you not done any on Armstrong's cars?
How much coolant You put in? I'm doing i30N as well 😄
Chris, would it be possible to facelift? The new headlights are a lot nicer.
Hyundai definitely sell those plugs separately as I work for them, so it will be an easy fix
They do but they are indefinite back order apparently!
@@Chris_Slix ah that sucks what do they look like? I can have a look at work and see if there are any lying around

£329 for one of them boxes???? Sod that! I’ll stick with the cable 😂
Hey Chris love the jag but not into this car sorry 😞
Its ok you don’t have to like every car, everyone has different taste! If i could afford to constantly do builds like the jag i probably would still have a hot hatch too 😅
Why not fit a brand new leg?
On indefinite back order could be 10 weeks or more
Jez I know how it crashed , the budget tyres on the front what was it davanti total dog poopies 😂😂😂 chris get some decent tyres in that
400+ text messages, good lord man 😂
add a supercharger in it
Only two tools ? but i saw 3 tools🤣
I take it the 3rd is me 😂
@@Chris_Slix haha you know I'm kidding love u mate
Yay! A Korean car that Koreans can't buy!
It’s not worth buying cheap tools 😅
Your not restoring. Its not a old classic car. Your repairing a bit of cat C salvage
Nice one man 👍🏼
Google the definition of restoring, that is exactly what Chris is doing.
Great job dude 👍
@@ronnyshorter9001 oh if it's on Google it must be right
