"The Biggest Lingerie Section" episode is really funny Along with Ted explaining to Doogle, the plastic toy cow in his hand is very small, but the cows outside are far away!
0:50 Wow. That wooden ceiling is absolutely wonderful. I don't think I have ever seen rectangular patterns used like that at a forty five degree angle. And it looks like there might be sky lights out of shot? Damn. Talk about money well spent. Beautiful!
Greetings from the UK. You will adore this show, its mad surreal humour mixed with parody and satire, mainly of the Catholic Church, just hilariously funny. The writing is excellent and performances just perfect. The episode 'Hell' where they go on holiday is my favourite and contains a now legendary joke. This clip is going around and is funny but edited slightly. Originally, Ted races out of the house and stands in front of their car but they drive around him and its only later he goes back out, but the car part is cut out. Its worth watching this whole episode as it builds up nicely into a very funny pay-off. I can't recommend the whole series enough, a masterpiece of comedy you'd really like.
@@proudmen1220 Well, its a comedy featuring three Irish priests, written by Irish writers and set on a fictional island just off the Irish coast, so the catholic church is their cultural target.

All three series fully deserve to go viral, because it's one of the greatest situation comedies ever made, and a testament to everyone who wrote it, made it and acted in it, both Irish and British. Pure comedy gold. RIP Dermot Morgan. 💔
@@iaincowell9747Technically Father Ted was a British TV show as it was produced by Channel 4, but practically it was Irish. Irish written, a predominantly Irish cast, Irish humour, all of the on-location scenes were filmed in Ireland, and the show was set in Ireland. The show was a wonderful collaboration between Ireland and England and as someone has said, the fact that the Irish and British want to claim it as their own just shows what a brilliant show it was
It shows that we are all racist, the only thing that matters is we all respect and love one another, we can do that and make fun of each other. You are only truly racist if you have hate in your heart.
This is one of the funniest episodes, the full episode focuses on Ted trying to persuade people he is not a racist. I don't want to spoil the episodes in case you watch it, so I wont tell you if he succeeds or not.
Apparently that was a myth and the writers never approached RTE in the first place. I'm glad that it was produced by Channel 4 as it gave the show a larger audience
you missed the end of this sketch when having apologised to the 'Lings' they come back to the priests house to see Ted waving to them from the window.......only the window has a black mark on it which makes Ted look as if he is wearing a 'Hitler' moustache !
May I ask a serious question? Domyou remember a British sitcom called It Ain't Half Hot Mum? If so, did you find it racist, or could it be genuinely funny?
I find it sad how (in England) that Till Death Us Do Part has been cancelled, it's racism but the joke is on Alf Garnett who is the racist, the actor Warren Mitchell was from a Jewish lineage so if anything it is somebody from that community of people poking fun at the old fashioned, idiotic views of people who are way too judgemental or just like complaining
The only constant when it comes to prejudice or superiority throughout the show above is not with ethnicity at all, but with a group within the very same religion, and even then that's not supposed to be taken seriously. Prejudice or racism in a fictional show is perfectly acceptable in the same way a violent character is in any movie or book, as long as it is not seriously intending to encourage the acts portrayed on the show in real life, and there is a notable age rating or warning as to the material it contains (or at least shown at a reasonable hour). There are very few shows in which a hateful person does not get their comeuppance, unless it's obvious they are to be laughed at. If people cannot understand that then they do have a problem, and that problem is that they have yet to mature as an adult, and are probably addicted to complaining online in order to attract attention (ahem)
Father ted was written by Irish writers and played by Irish actors but produced by a British company
And half of it was filmed in Ireland
That black square of `dirt `on the window. It`s very important later in the show.
ruclips.net/video/sLNMSTQnSyk/видео.html
It is a Irish show, the inside of houses was recorded in England, all the outside parts was filmed in Ireland and an all Irish cast and writers
It gets better as that mark on the window (as a moustache) later on shows Ted as Hitler trying to convince the Chinese he's not a racist.
And the bequeath of a huge Nazi collection to Ted from another priest, just in time for the Yin's to turn up at the house.

When I first saw the moustache scene I thought I was going to die laughing. Still randomly burst out laughing when I think of it.
Utterly brilliant bit😂😂
That was crazy hilarious!

It's easy enough to educate yourself on what racism is.
well of course the Irish were subject to racism themselves !
