Khaine once made a point that by power attacking with a scrapping tool you actually loose out since rare drops are a chance per hit, regardless of damage. So by power attacking you need less hits to salvage the car so you get less attempts at getting those rare drops.
Really enjoying this series. I just got started with this game and have gone through probably more than a dozen no-death play throughs. My record so far is 21 days due to sneaking up and stabbing a bear in the butt with a knife because I thought my Agility build was slick with it. Turns out there's levels to this game. It's fun to discover all these different complexities and optimizations. Can't wait to see your approach to the day 7 Horde!
A lot of theses comments what is possible and what not is mostly based mods but some of it may also be outdated information. For example the wrench used to be a repair and upgrade tool a long time ago. They changed that when they gave the wrench a power attack animation. Some mods still have this repair / upgrade function for the wrench.
Really like this new series, I’ve been playing this game for some years now and you still manage to teach me something every video 💪 a lil tip from me is save the books you’ve read already and sell them for 100 dukes 👍
Not saying it is cool to get wacked by zombies but man, I am so glad to see I am not the only one getting hit that many times while using the club. I love brute strength builds but I sure do miss the sharp sticks / spears While gaming along with this playthrough. And while I am still rather new at this game, I just can not find and gather stuff at the rate that Iz does. I literally hoof it as fast as I can and I am still like a week behind at all times it seems. I just am not sure why. It will all come in time I am more than sure. I believe I get caught up in POI for too long and keep all the wrong type of stuff. I also catch myself lagging behind people in DayZ as well when I play it too and I get left behind if not killed. So it is nothing new for me really. Thanks for all the series you do Iz. I really do enjoy you humor and the way you present the game. Be safe out there!
I tend to find so many lockpicks I just try to use them but always have some. And usually only have level 1 lockpicking. Also, yes the lock pick mini game is a mod. It's added to many full mods, but you can also just add the mod itself. But it's pointless as generally you'll have more than needed. Also, would it be beneficial to create a storage box outside of Jen's to store extra crap before or after doing quests? Saves you from having to go all the way home.
hey y'all, I hope you know how lucky you are that IzPrebuilt decided to do this series. Do what he says and it will be like getting a Masters degree at least in 7d2d. Thanks:)
Honestly 1.0 feels more of an alpha than a few previous alphas. From starting quests not registering, like bloodmoon counts, (am currently on the new save on the 5th, stopped counting after the 1st). Dumb quests than required dumb actions, like jumping from a skyscraper to break my leg 10 times, or being a punching bag soIi can heal a broken arm 10 times; 50 animal kills of each type, no armor balance, including insulation making respective mods useless. Broken heat system often triggering 2 screamers at around 20 heat (yes i check using debug) and keeping a loop where they respawn while heat at 0 with no reset timer. Fk me an this cycle, 2.5K hours am angry at the LACK OF DEVELOPMENT for the past 5 years, feeling it's a great base game and mechanics filled with half backed ideas.... Around 6 years later, this is no better than alpha 18.
Be careful, the cultist fanbase will cancel you for saying that, i personally despise a lot of the changes made, one example is water collecting, i need a dew collector, but it gives dirty water?? The devs dont even fuckin know how rain works now? Or theyre just assholes who hate new players who dont know any better..... Personally this game was far better back in 2016 when i still played it.....
@@themanwithnoname1839 Agreed, besides better graphics, a lotta things are just wrong. The dews like you said, that also generate heat, POIs where the floor or walls are plates not allowing you to place a block for some high ground, zombie density on newer higher tier but fairly small POIs, zombie spawns behind the player. Even the learning system sucks. I place points on skills like cooking that I only want for recipes for the first few days(I play 25% loot and XP so food early is ultra rare unless you are buying) then Forgetting Elixir, same for grease monkey or anything I want to specialize fast.
I followed your point allocations and I have WAY more tool books than club books. I got steel tools unlocked before the baseball bat lol. I ended up crafting the t2 nerd armor, I'm probably going to regret that.
22:00 I rushed Lucky Looter and the wasteland for shits'n'giggles and around day 15 I think? I got a LEGENDARY Auto-Shotgun bundle from an air drop... lol
I watched a video about mining in 7dtd. And apparently using a level 6 steel pickaxe is better than an a level 1 auger in terms of convenience and noise.
I learned everything I needed to know from you as soon as I heard the console version was coming, and then taught all my squad mates your lessons when it came out. The last few days have been the most fun ever thanks to you!
Some challenges seem need you to gather from specific items. For example, Short Pipes can also be obtained from hitting a stack of large, long pipes, not sinks and washbasins etc, only then will the challenge become complete. Perhaps that is why some streetlights did not show a yellow icon. I think there are honey stumps too that don't count so perhaps you need to use the tracker as a guide in some instances. That will save time if you want to finish some challenges. Regards..
If you're a new player I highly suggest just playing a game. I wish I can go back and explore the game when I knew nothing and figuring things out. It's so much more rewarding
Yep, impact drivers will repair with the power attack in DF. The skyrim style lockpicking is in a lot of overhauls. You can get it as a solo modlet too. But nope, in vanilla you wait, cross your fingers, and hope it works out....have fun
Sledgehammers are great in this game, their knockdown and damage are great, when when not specced into it, i have been using a stone sledge in game now for about 22 in game days, really there is no need to go beyond unless you just want the enemies to be REALLY easy to fight
I heard if you have a ripe banana on your desk when playing a tier 3 poi holding a level 3 pistol you get a special bonus that takes you to level 300. PROOVE ME WRONG
"instead of dropping those 7 or 8 items you don't really need wouldn't it be easier to drive 3km (which takes like 5 minutes out of your 60 minute day) and then drive back out 3km again?"

Right now its optimal to grind up your Armour crafting, get s nerd outfit that has a chance of giving you multiple skills per read magazine. And the quality of armor makes it more likely. So the current meta is grind up books if you can survive without the skill up immediately, get good nerd outfit, then spam the books to get best chance at skill procs

First try pick 🔒 😮; I either break 15 lockpicks or it picks the lock first try. Love the channel 👍
That's normal for 7 Days. If you don't pick the lock the first item you have to ask yourself if it is worth spending any more time on that container.

I don't see a need for new players to build horde bases, there are dozens of great buildings in game already that function well as one.
