Just did a survey, and the 140gr. S&B Soft Points are available, 80 cent per range, still a bargain.
The accuracy at the price point makes this some ammo to chase a case of in bulk.
You can barely find 55gr. fmj 223 for that price.
My Creeds await freedom from the box and a Boyds stock shotgun wedding.
Thanks for the heads up. If you can find hunting ammo at or below a buck, buy the gun, lol, if you don't own the caliber, just sayin...

I was just testing some different hunting ammo for my 6.5 CM and this stuff, the cheapest by far, grouped the best. 5/8” 5 shot group at 100 yds. I really hope this performs well on deer.

@@f5tornadeau good expansion even at long range. Stayed together well. I like them so much I switched over permanently. I’m getting sub moa at 100 yards in a savage axis. Some rifles don’t like them. My tc compass is about 1 1/4 groups at 100 yards

I use S&B in all my rifles. I've done the 50 buck box of ammo like everyone else and I always come back to S&B for hunting. 30-30, 243, 6.5Cr, have all performed as well or better than the standard stuff. Drops game animals like any other. We get caught up in marketing instead of practicality. I'm done paying for Titleist ammo it's all the same. If the rifle can group 1 MOA I use it. S&B groups better than 1 MOA in all my rifles.
In these times of hardship don't get sucked in by fancy commercials.
I learned long ago that the deer, bear, elk, or Moose doesn't care that it's hit with S&B.
On a side note, what people don't know is this. Half the ammo you are using is made by S&B and re-branded. Think about it.

Very true. Use what shoots good in your guns and depending on the application, the best isn't always the one that costs the most..

Every bolt action rifle is different for what resets the trigger...That is probably the resistance you're feeling when trying to open the bolt..Some reset when pulling the bolt handle up, some reset pushing down, some reset when pulling the whole bolt backwards
