  • Kyle with True Shot here to review the Sellier & Bellot 6.5 Creedmoor Ammunition available at trueshotgunclub.com
Sellier & Bellot ammunition is part of CBC Defense who exports to over 130 countries, meeting the needs of Military, Law Enforcement and the commercial markets. CBC Defense has become one of the largest ammunition manufactures in the world and is one of the largest suppliers of ammunition to NATO and allied forces worldwide.
    Let’s Star With The Specs:
    1. Sellier & Bellot ‘s 6.5 Creedmoor round is a 140-grain bullet that produces muzzle velocity of 2,657 Feet Per Second and Muzzle energy of 2,202 foot pounds.
    2. These are sold in 20 round boxes or 500 round cases.
Now let’s talk about what we like about this ammunition:
    1. The price point and quality just cannot be beat. This is the best price on 6.5 Creedmoor. At the time of this video, we are selling this for less than $0.60 per round.
    2. When we tested this round, we were hitting a 6” steel gong at 556 yards with ease through a Ruger Precision Rifle with a 24” barrel.
    The Bad:
    1. There’s no real downside that we have found. The only question we have is how the S&B will perform at 1,000+ yards compared to pricier rounds from the likes of Hornady, Prime, Federal, and others. We haven’t done a full comparison test yet and we were limited to 556 yards when we were shooting.
    The Verdict:
If you’re looking for an affordable round to shoot or aren’t shooting over 1,000 yards, the Sellier and Bellot 6.5 Creedmoor round is a no brainer. Great performance and a great value from one of the largest ammo companies in the world.

Are they large or small primer pocket brass? I've used S&B 12 gauge slugs and 762×39 but haven't had a chance to try 6.5 Creedmore. Has anyone out there used the S&B brass for reloads?

Sounds like a sales pitch to jst sell your ammo.
Is this target ammo or hunting amo???

    • @TrueShotAmmo
      @TrueShotAmmo  4 года назад +6

Bill, thanks for commenting! This is not our brand of ammo, this is made by Sellier & Bellot, being a an FMJ bullet, we would recommend it more for target shooting. We do have Winchester 6.5 Open Tip Boat Tail that would be great for hunting. I'll admit that some of our reviews do sound like pitches but we are raving fans of Sellier & Bellot products as they make an awesome product at a great price! The brass is not good for reloading, sadly. Standard American primers fit way too tightly. Many primers get crushed in the seating process. Apart from the, it’s good ammo. G7 BC is .2750, it goes subsonic past 1025 yards. MV is about 2657 ft./s.

@@TrueShotAmmo Pretty sure S&B uses what's called a bi-metal jacket, basically very mild steel with a copper electroplating over it.
Wolf/Tula also use bi-metal jackets to keep cost down.
Not hard to figure out, as a bi-metal jacket won't pass the magnet test.

    • @TrueShotAmmo
