Greatest, cheesiest moment of my life was about 15 years ago when I walked into the local gas station as an old guy was telling an awful joke, and the kid working there pulled my brand of cigarettes, knowing what I'd likely be purchasing. The only dialogue was the old guy finishing his joke, saying, "Ah, I'm a joker." My tossing money, grabbing the cigarettes, saying, "I'm a smoker"(figuring no one would catch on). And as I left, the kid shrugged and laughed with, "I'm a midnight toker". 3 generations brought together by Steve Miller. 😂
That's cooool and funny!! Had a 16 yr old kid the other day heard me listening to Pink Floyd. He had the nerve ,to tell me In 20 yrs nobody will know who Pink Floyd is! Stunned as I was! Snickering under my breath,I said you really think that? Joking of course, I said I'm gonna cut you some slack. Young guy like you, just doesn't realize the connection between a man and his music. Or you wouldn't make statements like that. 2ndly When the group was formed mid 60s,everyone experts said they gave them 6 months. In the late 70s I told him we stoner's said when we were gone Pink Floyd would be gone! 80s 90s 2000s pass 2021 they are just as popular and still selling records to young people teenagers will be young adults the ones that are listeningbto Floyd now will carry them into the next 20-30 years. I said I'll take that bet! He said your probably right...

The song that is missing from the Greatest Hits album is "Living in the USA." Such a shame a lot of the people who just buy that greatest hits album dont know the song, or the two songs referenced in THIS song.
This song was on the charts when I was in high school. My brother went by the name Marc until this song hit the airwaves. Then he made sure everyone called him by his whole name, which is MAURICE. Steve Miller played jazz guitar with my dad’s orchestra over the past few years.
It makes my heart soar when I watch you enjoying a song I love. Isn't that a great song?! I bet you would love every song on their Greatest Hits album.

My aunt always told me. That when people talk about you, it’s because your life is more interesting than their’s.
My grams told me that too but I'd always reply interesting doesn't mean good.
Whenever some one said that people were talking about me, I'd reply: "That just means they're leaving some other poor bastard alone."
