Super sir, it is nice that you are preferring organic crops (chemical free), but why didn't you consider crop which is good for humans instead of Supari (adike)?
If we are not looking for any profitablity or a business or any kind of outcome. It is always good to figure out ourselves by not considering the traditional assumptions or practices but just stick to the basics. We can relate it to any field not only agri or businesses. When we chase profitablity we missout something called innovation. Thanks for relating it with your film making experience. Looking forward to keep learning from nature.
It was nice to know that pawan sir doesnt just writes non linear screenplays, he also speaks in a non linear way. Quite informative though. Both about the film as well as about farming
Thank you so much ❤ You are amazing... With in 24mins, you spoke many valuable things which connects to the real life... Stick to the basics and believe in nature or life . Roots go in search of water. Not using of chemicals, Over growing can might put you in loss. The comparison of Lucia and banana plantation has a deep meaning about life..
Sir, the thinking way of yours is correct and I too agree as film maker and film making is not big thing it's also just one stream and one business model which we should understand things Frist to survey in society. It's my opinion. From Vijayapura karnataka.

Hello Pawan avare, I am still waiting to watch the movie Lucia! I like this video about your comparison between your movie Lucia and your farm! Great job, well done on both projects! Keep up the great job and continue with both projects! Wishing you lots of luck and best wishes! 🎉
Only a thinker and filmmaker can think deeply and draw parallels. This is one such video where you’ll get to know instantly you are listening to a person who has a great sense of screenwriting. Cool!
Namskara Pawan avre. This was a fascinating listen. Firstly it was refreshing to listen to you speaking passionately about your first baby and your current baby in an unflitered and and an unrefined setting. Secondly, the parallels you drew between growing banana and making a movie was original. Only a mind that was let free to roam around without being fettered by social media or stress could have come up with this. Beautiful! I would like to make a few comments on some of the things you mentioned in the video: 1. Correct me but Lucia was released 11 years ago in 2013, right? Not 13 years ago in 2011. In 2011 you had just started the process of crowdfunding your movie with your articles in newspaper and social media (which was basically facebook then). 2. Your A+B=C reasoning is sound. You should talk to Dharmaraj and get his views about this. I am sure he will agree. 3. I am in awe of the wisdom and experience of Mr. Dharmaraj. I hope I can meet him someday (please let us know how we can contact him). Everything that you mentioned in the video that was attributed to Mr. Dharmaraj is accurate and correct. Indeed, the roots grow towards the source of water and nutrients. If those are farther away, the roots grow longer and stronger. It was a great suggestion to move the source of water farther away from the plants. Another thing you mentioned about the network of roots under the soil is also accurate. Although this is more common and stronger in forests where plants and trees grow wild, one could also expect a similar network of roots in an agricultural field as well. Another major component of this network are fungi (arbuscular mycorrhiza). You can take steps in the future to strengthen these fungal network in your farm to increase your yield naturally. 4. I doubt that you spray 'steroids' on banana to get them to grow bigger. You can either spray chemicals with potassium as a major component or some kind of plant hormones (Gibberellic acid or Auxins) to get the bananas to grow bigger. I do agree with your philosophy of natural farming. But if you are interested, you can find organic substitutes for the chemicals that others spray to increase yields. It might be interesting for you to look into it (just because you are doing it so passionately). 5. I take offence at your characterization of 'traditional farming'. What other farmers are doing around you is not 'traditional' farming. They are just using 'modern' methods that give them the best ROI without any regard for how much they are ruining the soil and the environment. Traditional farming is holistic and takes into account all aspects of the ecosystem. My forefathers were farmers. My father was a farmer until he left the village to build a better life for himself in the city. But he still remembers how farming was done until the 80's. I consider that as traditional farming because that tradition has been kept alive for thousands of years. This 'super size me' method of farming that we see around us is very recent and will not last long. 6. If you are interested in natural farming and permaculture, the Art of Living Ashram in the outskirts of Bengaluru can provide you with valuable resources. Check it out. All in all, it was a great video and I loved it! One can't expect you to make these videos on a regular basis because that will take away from the essence of this type of video but I hope to see videos like this sporadically on your channel. Disclaimer: My views are based on my understanding of farming and biology. I am a plant biologist working on plant roots in the lab. My knowledge is mostly theoretical without much practical experience in farming. But I am an agriculture enthusiast and hope to have my own farm one day.
Thank you for your long response. Right after i completed the video, I called Dharmaraj for something else and he gave me another fascinating insight which I am applying now. Sorry about tradition, I know where you come from.. but suddenly 60 years seems like traditional now.. hence the usage. But i am aware that things were way more simpler and correct before that. And i have no idea why I kept saying 13. It was supposed to be 11 or 12 😂 I am glad my learnings have been validated by a professional. And about the steroid i mentioned, it's a kind of a chemical sprayed on the banana and when I was at the shop I asked him to explain what it does.. and he said they were steroids. But I shall check out more... However Mr. Dharmraj says we don't have to give in any external input.. nature knows how to handle it.
Great comparison and kudos for avoiding chemicals🎉 I just hope the middlemen don’t apply some chemicals to delay the ripening after they purchase from you

Wrong. Bananas live longer when it is 100% totally organic and is naturally ripened. If organic gets artificially ripened they die sooner. It is a very subtle aspect. Most organic fruits die because they are unnaturally ripened.
