The 13th chapter of the great Cerebrovascular Grand Round Webinar 2022, held under the auspices of the MENA STROKE Organization, American Stroke Association, and World Stroke Organization, and supported by Boehringer Ingelheim and Medtronic, was a descriptive session that provided comprehensive education about Recurrent ischemic stroke and Challenges in Stroke Care and Treatment Outcomes. 774 delegates from 32 countries around the world have benefited from this webinar. It was conducted in a very organized and effective manner and the attendees have been rewarded with 2 CME hours.
Dr. Suhail Abdulla Alrukn, President of MENASO and Consultant Neurology at Rashid Hospital, UAE, has appointed Prof. Dr. Hany Mohamed Aref, Professor and Head of Neurology Department at Ain Shams University, Egypt, and Dr. Fatima Abdulla, Consultant Neurologist and President of Bahrain Neuroscience Association as Chairmen for the webinar. The expert speakers panel include Dr. Firas Khalifa Al-Nidawi, Consultant Neurologist at Salmaniya Medical Complex, Bahrain and Prof. Andrew Demchuk
Professor of Neurology at Department of Clinical Neurosciences, Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary. He is also the Director of Calgary Stroke Program, Alberta Health Service.
Prof. Dr. Suhail Abdulla Alrukn has delivered the opening remarks and welcomed all to the session. He introduced the chairmen and invited them to introduce the speakers and to moderate the lectures.
The first session was presented by Prof. Andrew Demchuk, where he explained Challenges in Stroke Care and Treatment Outcomes. Dr. Firas Khalifa Al-Nidawi has presented a talk on Recurrent ischemic stroke.
Prof. Hany Aref has moderated the interactive Q&A session. He along with the speakers expressed their appreciation and thanked the attendees for their participation.
