Paxton, if you get a little bit of foreskin from Buckey The Dog you can add it to a container of Lacquer Thinner for a few days and it will stretch out over the entire headboard. I'm not speaking from experience...this is just what a friend told me.

You have no idea how badly I wish I could make this bed. Lost mine in the flood and have searched the Internet unsuccessfully for two years and can’t find one to buy. This was more difficult than I thought it would be. Required a ton of lumber I wouldn’t have expected. It turned out perfect. It’s everything I’ve been looking for and can’t find.
My dad has taught me how to build and I think it is a useful skill to have. I might end up making this because it dose look pretty simple.

I love this one. Easily my favorite bed of yours. You could have also glued carpet scraps to the bottom of the draws to get them to slide

No doubt! It is. I'm planning on doing one once I get the new shop all set up in the next week or two
The mask are amazing, i own one for projects. super great. Bought one for my parents that are bright colors so they are easy to find, super nice and very comfortable.
Had no idea you were in a new shop! I think you mentioned before the barn door vid that you had moved but I couldn't tell if that meant a new shop space, etc or just a new apartment or whatever. Well awesome - looking forward to the tour and as always, love the vids you put out!

I'd love to make a sofa/day bed with storage like this! I loved your other diy mid-century sofa/day bed, but my roommate only likes furniture that sits flat on the floor because she has a few small animals.
I like the idea of castors. Lining up drawer hardware is a pain the butt. Your way looks easier. I like those RZ masks !!
Especially when the plywood had as much bend in it as mine did. Yeah, the RZ Masks are awesome
Love the storage idea because I have a small room, but I also have carpet + a rug, so the wheels wouldn't be such a good option

Pretty nice! The only thing I would do different is to eliminate the drawer rollers on the floor, in favor of simple wooden drawer slides made of one by scrap wood. two - 1" X 1"s on the inside of each cross support and one - 1" X 1" screwed onto the outside of each drawer.
That makes the drawers just a tiny bit wider and eliminates any wear on the floor, or if you have carpet.

Yet another great build..
Glue gun is good tip for fronts it just could be problem with delicate projects it could make gaps between fronts and actual drawer.I recommend you to use "mitre fast" glue you just apply fev drops and spray activator.

You should put some cut in half tennis balls on the back of the drawers so they don't bump the bed frame.

Great vid! I wished you lived in my city so I could get you to build this for 2 beds. I love custom builds! The only thing I would add to this would be a 2in. platform riser to raise it up just a little.

Doh! I just bought an RZ mask on Orval's recommendation. I love it so far. Awesome bed! I agree that the glue ups do not need any dowels.

Instead of batting, you can use carpet pad (in as many layers as you want) to get a thicker, softer cushion.

Would love to see a better more detailed article with dimensions for the different bed sizes!!! 😊😊😄 I want to do this for my new FULL bed but I will have to remeasure and recalculate the dimensions from your article when it arrives to fit properly.
Maybe add small triangle-slats to the sides of the drawers, that way they'll somewhat self-align as you roll them back in place.

Looks great, but regardless of humidity levels where you live it's always a good idea to go with a slatted surface rather than a single sheet with no breathing room for your mattress.
