I am using KZ Zex (DD+EST) for almost a year.
Primary usage is Valorant, Spotify, Chrome.
Not an audiophile
For some reason I have to give zex to someone and get a new pair in same price range i.e 2k
After getting idea please recommend some.
Although I'm used to KZ high treble sound signature but highly influenced over blon bl03.

I would suggest saving up more if possible. Try in the 8k 10k range. But be ready for fast diminishing returns

My suggestion would be get a iem under 3k and and a usb dac under 3k(example - 7Hz 71) and you'll curse me one day cause i started your iem addiction😅.

Moodrop chu 2 easily as i have hola and waner and they are old now. Both of them are of the same time period of chu 1.
Chu 2 is newer and improved but if possible go for tanchjim one. That's what i would have brought. Waner still perform good vut definitely avoid hola.

@@bunnywild7153 very laid back, relaxing and smooth but fun. Good for late night listening. Isn't loud enough (probably my phone is not giving it enough power but i don't think so, hola is designed to be not fatiguing i think). Not at all good for online games games (only tried bgmi though but other reviews confirm it perform the same in other online games too). I would value my waner over it. But as i said in my above comment, waner is surpassed by newer iems.

I've been rocking the 7hz zero for gaming for a while now and want to get a better pair under 3k. I recently tried the truthear hola but didn't really like them much for gaming. I've been looking for a while now but couldn't really find a good pair. Which IEM do you think is the best under 3k? Also, have you tried the Kiwi Ears Cadenza?
id recommend you to save a little bit more and get the truthear x crinacle 0 for 5k. You wont really hear any difference in sound quality from the 7hz salnotes zero to an iem under 3k.
Save up and get something like the simgot ea500 or truthear zero

Bro just received my tanchjim one IEM. Was expecting something overwhelmingly new to discover from the tracks i've been listening on my other earphones. But dissappointed. Bro have you ever tried the oppo enco m32?!? Just try once. Don't judge it for a v shaped neckband or anything. The instrument separation and sound staging that neckband offers at 1700 only is what these IEMs offering at a whooping 3k+ price segment. Just try the goddamn OPPO ENCO M32, Enco Air 2 pro tws.
Oppo knows how to make good audio products so that's not surprising. As for the first part, it's hard to discover something new in the same price bracket. Modern budget iems are pretty good

@@HardwareMana I have it, it very laid back, smooth and relax absolutely non fatiguing. It is kind of iem i would give to a teenager so he won't damaged his ears on loud volume in his developing years. It is even bearable at 8-10 volume limit If 10 being highest. I prefer my waner over it but both of these are surpassed but newer iems. If one of my iems dies today i will go for tanchjim one.

@@syncwork not exactly Harman tuning. But a purely Harman tuned iem will feel harsh for gun sounds at higher volumes. I would suggest not focusing on a specific tuning that much

Knowing that KZ and CCA are mostly V-shaped i had a doubt, but looking at the FR graph this looks decent and safe bet.
