Hey, does an EQd Salnotes Zero (with increased base) sounds good or an EQd Tangzu Wan'er (with increased highs) sounds better?
I feel the driver on the zero is better. Both will sound good for music with eq but imaging performance is simply better on the zero which cannot be made better with eq
@@HardwareMana I have listened to Salnotes before and everything except the bass felt exceptional to me.
(a) Does EQing produce similar results when compared with having the same tuning in box? As in, using EQ on Salnotes will give me a good bass response like any other earphones, right?
(b) Have you tried EQing Salnotes yourself, and what was your experience like?
@@adityawahi1997 Depends on the driver. If it has low distortion then it easily handle big eq changes. 3-5dB is fine. But if the driver is bad then it will sound worse than the in box tuning.
Yes I have eq'd it and adding some 3db to the 100dB with 0.8Q will make it sound fuller.

@@AbirMakkar my first iem was kz edx pro. Then upgraded it with zsn pro x.. edx pro is super trebly it penetrates ears.... Don't buy it... Go for zsn pro x.. it's puchy.. fun loving

Hey your analysis is great. I really want to hear all layers of music, rich vocals where "details" (soundstage) is needed. As much possible in 3k range.
But also I dont want to suffer from shoutiness where you stop listening after 3-5 songs. So a clear but warm sound signature.

Most accurate review. I have been using this for one year and agree with you on everything. 7hz is better.
Please pin this comment so others would know too. Actually the obvious design for headsets mic are that they are placed on the left side , which is not the case in Tangzu Wan'er. I came upon this issue too where the audio in games sounded reversed. But then I replaced the left and right earbuds and they sound perfect game. No problem with these beauties whatsoever

Both are not bass head sets. The hexa being even leaner in the bass

Currently using KZ edx pro, i want to upgrade to a versatile iem but confused between Truthear hola, 7hz salnotes zero, Tangzu wan'er I want to pick one out of them, later i will add all 3 in my collection
don't bother with the collection and get the ew200 or the ea500. Then save up for something in the higher price range.
If you want to spend 2k then wait for zero 2

Heya!! I'm confused b/w kz zex, salnotes zero and waner. My criteria is clearer vocals, wider soundstage and not at all a basshead. Mostly listen to old classical music and jazz. NO BOLLYWOOD DHUK DHUK, if that makes sense😅
used to have a kz edx pro (bought last year @ Rs.990) and want a mostly balanced sound signature. Mainly confused b/w zex and waner. And yes, MIC is REQUIRED.

Sounds a lot like the Blon Bl03, any idea how these two compare?
These have more upper mids and slightly lesser lower mids. So the overall presentation is very slightly cleaner for vocals.
But the fit and cable issue of the blon 03 are enough to get these instead

I got this and trust it’s the best and goat under 5k it’s perfect to artist intended and also better under 10k i mean yeah 10k iem are best but these waner in enough. If you really wanted dragstic and so much difference then go above 20k iem’s or headphones.

Wow what a coincedence I was just looking for buying IEMs and this video came out. But I have decided for quarks dsp as they have type C so that I can use with my phone also. They are also lightweight also so they makes them good for using while commuting also. Which are also the two problems I faced with my last pair of IEM blon bl 03. They sounded good but the fit wasn't good also the cable was so shitty I didn't used them because of that. Also you cant use them while travelling also. But I am concerned about their gaming performance. If anybody has tried them please share your thoughts.
Better go for the Type c Mic Version of salnotes Available on Concept Kart for 2k. SAME Inbuilt DAC as Quarks Except the EQ.

How would you describe it's sound?
@@ashuchan69yearsago92the mids are neutral and clear, the highs are not sharp but they're not muted either, although if your library is mostly classical music they might sound less "lively". The real masterclass is the bass. It's tuned to almost perfection, there's enough rumble in the sub bass, but the best part is the mid bass, you can feel every punch properly, without the bass bleeding into the mids. There is no boomy/muddy base ( like those cheap TWS have). 1 thing i would like to mention, the ear inserts are deeper than other iems so you may be trading comfort, but you're gaining noise isolation. Also, make sure you try out all the eartips, there's eartips for more bass/less bass in the box!
