yes has to do with the lamination process

Useless for shrink tube if you have to have a cut CAT5 cable. (i.e. shrink tube should be able to slip over the plug before shrinking)

If you're working professionally you're most likely crimping your own RJ45 connectors and fiber optics ends in place.

Yes, working professionally -- but the infrastructure was already in place, it was my job to backtrack and identify all network cabling.

Just use wrap around labels if its pre existing. You can buy sheets that will let you print a whole bunch easily
