  • Hi guys! In this video I introduced the Brother P-Touch E300 Electrical Label Printer. In spite of its use to electrical labelling, it is perfectly capable of printing the usual labels. It just happened to have additional functions that would be of particular benefit for labelling electrical facilities.
Just like my other label printer, the Brother P-Touch D600, the E300 also ejects a preliminary bit of blank tape before the actual label itself. This can be considered a bit of a waste. But it may be a necessary waste in order to print a much more robust and weather resistant label. I believe the machine needs to prime the label first in order to laminate the actual print, hence the extra blank tape. I am not so sure about this so if you have a different opinion feel free to share it. As with the D600, the E300 label printer produces a neat, sharp, and clear printout.

Interesting label. If it is laminated, where there is a top layer above the printed characters, then it should act as some nice protection for the printed characters. I'd hope that the adhesive is strong - will those labels you've stuck onto the side of the printer start to peel off after a few weeks?

@@ChrisM541 Thanks for dropping by. The labels are strong and do not peel off unless you manually unstick them. The surface should be flat, smooth, and without oil or dirt for best adhesion.

Why does a little bit come out each time? Is there a way to stop it as it is a waste of tape

It is indeed a waste of tape. Unfortunately, there's no way to stop it from ejecting that bit of tape at the beginning of every print. What I did to minimize it was to print several labels in one go, using the space bar and bluearrow + enter key to separate the individual words/phrase.

How’d you make that? That’s how I’m trying to make stacked just like that

Sorry I didn't get what you mean. The cable flag, the bar code?

It would be helpful if you have the item a rating out of 10 so we know what you advise. Please 🙏

@@stevenschapera2888 I appreciate your suggestion. Since I prefer to use the E300 over my other label printers nowadays, I would give it a rating of 8/10 based on my personal use of it. Also suggest to consider the model P-Touch E110, which cost lower and more compact than the E300.
