I’m guessing that notorious black Trans Am your referring to will appear on that movie star car list the narrator mentioned I agree that car is very worthy of mention you could also name the General Lee as a movie star car which by the way was the only thing the theatrical version of the Dukes Of Hazzard got right and was the only good part of that movie another car that is a star car for the movies is Christine the blood red Plymouth fury

One time I was driving down Marine Blvd in. Redondo Bch. And something going in the opposite direction caught my eye. And when I looked back it was a. Batmobile
There were a numerous amount of memorable TV vehicles that qualify as iconic & would have fit right into this video presentation. A vast amount of vehicles we enjoyed watching on many popular prime time TV shows in the 60's, 70's, & the 80's. This would account for, perhaps, a hundred vehicles, more or less? My 3rd favorite was Chin Ho's 1967 Ford Galaxy 500 XL 2 door hardtop on Hawaii 5-0. 2nd favorite was Starsky's car. 1st favorite was Fred G. Sanford's 52' Ford Truck. Gilligan's pedal car gets a VERY honorable mention. Also wonder where it's at today? Almost forgot to mention Jedidiah's 1966 Ford Mustang hardtop, driven by Mark Shera, on Barnaby Jones, a Quinn Martin production.
Anyone remember Peter Gunn getting a new Plymouth Fury convertable every year? Or Rex Randolphs '59 Oldsmobile on Bourbon Street Beat? How about Stu Bailey's new Thunderbirds and Jeff Spensers new Ford Galaxies each season on 77 Sunset Strip. Not hard to figure out who sponsored that show. Just the cool cars alone made me want to be a private eye when I watched those shows as a kid.
2 things about KITT that I read about in the past: The car was supposed to be a 290 Nissan (or Datsun, same thing). Glen Larson had a neighbor that worked for GM. He showed Larson some pics of the upcoming 1982 Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am. Larson scrapped the 290 and instead went with the Trans Am. When the show premiered in '82, there were quite a few references to KITT being a Pontiac Trans Am. Pontiac dealerships had people flocking into the showroom, hoping to get a car that looked like KITT. Starting in '83, KITT was no longer referred to as a Trans Am, but rather a black t-top.
You missed Andy's squad car, every year a new Ford until Mayberry RFD when we see Andy pull up to the courthouse in a new Dodge , also Steve Mc Garrett's big ole Mercury, I was always amazed how in the early episodes he'd leave the palace in a two door model and arrive in a four door.
Funny how George berris only had 3 weeks to create the batmobile and also the munsters car! You would think they would give him more time he was a genius at creating movie cars.
I have the original TV series of "Bstman". This is the best looking Batmobile vs current. I also have the complete series "Charlie's Angel's" and from start to finish the Cara were never updated as the Ford Country Squire was. The 2 Ford Mustangs & the Ford Pinto was used in every episode except when they went to Hawaii.
The Batmobile was the coolest car on TV. No other car comes close. This had been the 1955 Lincoln Futura built by Ghia in Italy. If you wanted it made now it would cost over a million dollars. They should have used it in the Batman movies.
All seem to be great except for The Beverly hillbillies truck hasn't been at the school of the Ozark's for years. I have relatives that live nearby for years as a kid would make the long trip to visit. I can remember that truck being there. Back remember taking my kids they were very young and the truck is still there. Then don't remember it's been five or ten years and it was no longer there it was taken away by somebody I think the southwest of California is where it ends up, school had gone with a more upscale approach still if he fit in very narrow parameters they would bring you in. Now to Truckee from brought back recently that I don't know. Great work on this episode
There's a car that's missing from the list, that car is the Reactor that was created by Gene Winfield, it was seen in Batman, Star Trek, & an entire episode of Bewitched, not to mention the Black Beauty!!
Also the black 65 Vette from the 1985-86 series "Stingray" Also the 62 Rambler American from Third Rock from the Sun was cool but they didn't feature it much.
Don't forget about Cooter on the Dukes of Hazard , he was great played by Ben Jones and Uncle Jesse played by Denver Pyle no kin to Gomer Pyle lol. Thanks for the video .
I think we could all come up with other memorable TV vehicles, like the Corvettes from Route 66, Mannix's convertibles, the Green Acres Lincoln, Columbo's Peugeot, Magnum's Ferrari, Nash Bridges 'Cuda, etc. Seems today's shows seldom have characters defined in part by their cars, and little airtime devoted to vehicles, aside from the new Magnum, P.I. Probably this is because America's love affair with cars is long over as demonstrated by the appliance type vehicles now in demand.
Holy flashback, Batman!! I missed this a year ago but love this. About 15 years ago i was sent 2 framed photos of The Munster Coach.' A friend of family worked at a Ca header shop and they were asked to work on it. One photo was one of the car in the parking lot, another was a 'portrait' signed by George himself. Both are hanging together now. Mentioned before i had a '69 Charger that got hit while parked in '80. I took the 'total' and let it go (i know,,,,). I'd raised alot of hell by then. No tickets ;) Family saw it go down the freeway on a flatbed truck. He didn't think it was going to a junk yard. Prob became a Dukes 'jumper'. They'd piece cars together. Nice Work, B Bros!!
The mid 1970s Ford V8s did not put out much power. The Torino was really a slug at that point and didn't handle well, but it looked cool. Glaser was really a jerk, about the car and other things.
My Favorite movie/tv show The gmc suv Bert gummer had in the tremor 1990’s movie. The only other one I remember were the 1993 Jeep’s from the Jurassic Park films.
Colt Sievers 1981 GMC K2500 from The Fall Guy Jock Ewing's 1977 Lincoln Continental Mark IV from Dallas Coyote X from Hardcastle and McCormick Columbo's Peugeot Convertible
Honorable mention has to go to the Green Hornets "Black Beauty" crime fighting car. It never became a tv icon because the show only ran for 26 episodes in 1966. But with Bruce Lee playing Kato it has become a legendary sort of cult tv car.
Kojak: Buick Regal Streets of San Francisco: Ford LTD (new one every year) Charley's Angels: John Bosley's green Ford Thunderbird The Rockford Files: Pontiac Firebird Dallas: Jock Ewing's Continental Mark V Frank Cannon: Continental Mark III + Mark IV Colombo: Peugeot 403 convertible Moonlightning: BMW 635CSI The Persuaders: Aston Martin DBS and Ferrari Dino 246 GT

Funny how George berris only had 3 weeks to create the batmobile and also the munsters car! You would think they would give him more time he was a genius at creating movie cars.
Exactly. Surely they would have known months before that they'd need a car.
Loved the Munster Coach
The Batmobile was the coolest car on TV. No other car comes close. This had been the 1955 Lincoln Futura built by Ghia in Italy. If you wanted it made now it would cost over a million dollars. They should have used it in the Batman movies.
That it was!

I always liked the Ferrari from "Miami Vice".
Also the black 65 Vette from the 1985-86 series "Stingray" Also the 62 Rambler American from Third Rock from the Sun was cool but they didn't feature it much.

Can’t forget to mention colt Seaver’s truck from the fall guy
1981 GMC Wideside Sierra
They completely missed the Monkeemobile! It clearly out-classed most of the cars in this video!!

@@WisdomOverWicked777Rules Yeah he's a goofball who doesn't know facts
Don't forget about Cooter on the Dukes of Hazard , he was great played by Ben Jones and Uncle Jesse played by Denver Pyle no kin to Gomer Pyle lol. Thanks for the video .
Surprised to see the hillbillies car was powered by a mopar slant 6.
We were to! Thanks for the comment! We hope you subscribed to our channel if you're not a subscriber yet! It really helps us out. Boca Brothers
Some day I'll play one of these and be SHOCKED that they included the Green Hornet's Black Beauty.....
On the Dukes of Hazzard saw in Carcraft years ago used over 614 68 thru 70 Dodge Chargers. During shows production then went to minaterers.
About 15 years ago i was sent 2 framed photos of The Munster Coach.'
A friend of family worked at a Ca header shop and they were asked to work on it.
No tickets ;)
Family saw it go down the freeway on a flatbed truck.
He didn't think it was going to a junk yard. Prob became a Dukes 'jumper'. They'd piece cars together.
Nice Work, B Bros!!
Soooo glad the General Lee is in this list
Muscle-bound 351 Windsor. Hahahaha! Too Funny!
The mid 1970s Ford V8s did not put out much power. The Torino was really a slug at that point and didn't handle well, but it looked cool. Glaser was really a jerk, about the car and other things.
My
Favorite movie/tv show
The gmc suv Bert gummer had in the tremor 1990’s movie.
The only other one I remember were the 1993 Jeep’s from the Jurassic Park films.
Colt Sievers 1981 GMC K2500 from The Fall Guy
Jock Ewing's 1977 Lincoln Continental Mark IV from Dallas
Coyote X from Hardcastle and McCormick
Columbo's Peugeot Convertible
I also liked Dan Tanners red corvette
The guy from Full House drove a Corvette?
With three kids you would think he drove a mini van.
Oops should have been Dan Tanna from TV show Vegas
Honorable mention has to go to the Green Hornets "Black Beauty" crime fighting car. It never became a tv icon because the show only ran for 26 episodes in 1966. But with Bruce Lee playing Kato it has become a legendary sort of cult tv car.
Kojak: Buick Regal
Streets of San Francisco: Ford LTD (new one every year)
Charley's Angels: John Bosley's green Ford Thunderbird
The Rockford Files: Pontiac Firebird
Dallas: Jock Ewing's Continental Mark V
Frank Cannon: Continental Mark III + Mark IV
Colombo: Peugeot 403 convertible
Moonlightning: BMW 635CSI
The Persuaders: Aston Martin DBS and Ferrari Dino 246 GT
Yes!!!! in our second edition. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe...Pretty please.
you forgot all the different years & models of MOPARS that Joe Mannix drove
It's Aston Marton, not Anton lol

Rockford’s firebird, BJ’s aerodyne cabover, the monkey mobile. Dan Tanna’s thunderbird on Vegas. Dee Dee Mcall’s 84’Dodge Daytona from Hunter. Spencer’s mustang
I have a Red & White '57 Thunderbird. Her name is Destiny and I treat her much gentler than Dan treated his '57 on Vegas.
@@garyfaught3769 wow…she sounds beautiful 😃👍
Where's Dan Tanna's T-Bird?!
my favourite tv car of all time is Tara King''s Lotus Europa from the avengers tv show
I seen the Batmobile at the Carl Casper car show year's ago.

12:36 Herman Munster didn't look like Frankenstein; rather, it's Frankenstein's Monster. Frankenstein is the name of the scientist who created him. 🙂
Erroneously referred to as...
James is that all you do is pint out the little stuff. Ha!
@@ThisOldCarChannel I don't mean to be a pain... but I like using my vast compendium of trivial knowledge. 🙂
Jim Rockford's car should be on the list.
A very good video. Is that a Mopar slant six peeking out from under the hood ?
regrets being able, only, to thumb-up this post, once. Love this kind of content! I knew you'd have the "ride", from my all-time, favourite sitcom. That vehicle is the '21 Oldsmobile. Oh, one thing, more: my fave "Angel" conveyance was the pale orange one. That's 'cuz it 'belonged' to my favorite "Angel", 'Sabrina Duncan.' Oh, one thing, more: what is a 'Checker cav?'Further,(@ 11:28)his name is, Sorrell Booke, not Brooke.
about Magnum Ferrari?
