Amazing song, first time we heard it, heard about this group, we were hooked. The 80s produced some of the most amazing music and this was one of them. Played it a few years ago for my daughter and she loved it, which shows that great music is timeless and ageless.
@cath salazar - have you seen the documentary film STIV? I saw it on Netflix, was great. Some good footage of Stiv car surfing! Also, do you remember when they released Like A Virgin? It was the encore when I saw them at The Marquee and Stiv was in a white wedding dress with white pantyhose AND NO UNDIES!!

The whole set we couldn’t hear the vocals and the crowd got pissed off and started yelling at the desk to fix it. The couldn’t give a shit, they just wanted to get things right for the broadcast. Shame. Great gig anyway. Brian James is a legend. Imagine creating the Damned and then being in the Lords?

You may be right about this performance being dubbed. But how do you know for sure? It looks like it probably is overdubbed because of how messed up he is when he's talking vs how well he sings.. But where did you read that it is overdubbed? Just wondering.
You don't need to have read that it's overdubbed, it's just obvious because the movement of his lips doesn't match the sound you can hear! He's not even near the mic at around 3.30 but the voice carries on. He looks terrible, and I understand why the sound was retouched, but you can't deny it was done.
