I can compeltely relate. I lost my grandmother last year at the age of 83. What really messed me up were comments "she was old anyways". I lost a part of me when she passed. Had it not been for God, I dont know.
My condolences to you CentTwinz ❤

Watching this scratched my wound. I lost my grandma in March this year she raised me. I was 8 months pregnant and living abroad I couldn’t travel for the funeral. The pain I felt I don’t wish on anyone. I truly understand what the twins went through. I’m going home in a few weeks to see her grave and I’m dreading the trip. Grandparents are angels from God ❤️

i lost my grandfather in July 2022. the closest thing i had to a parent. Yes, he was old - almost 80. but that does not minimize the pain. infact, the role that he played in my life for 12 years (i lost my grandmother in 2010), was really significant. i honestly feel your pain, i too felt like he left with a part of me. so much has changed and just shifted in my spirit since losing him, it definitely is not the same, so i understand..totally. my condolences to you both.

  • @coachthamsie
    @coachthamsie 8 месяцев назад +11

I resonate with this interview so so much.
“Coach Thamsie” was birthed fully after the passing of my granny and I also got 7 star 🌟 treatment at Kalafong hospital after private hospitals couldn’t help whilst pregnant with my Sonshine.
My granny passed away in Jan 2019 and that year I stopped going to the office. She didn’t raise me on a full time basis but something died in me. From Attorney to Life Coach.
As black ppl we don’t talk about that part dying in us. Hubby also didn’t get it and felt I just dropped him. Lol Thamsie Bob the builder RIP.
Mama was 93 years old when she transitioned and Yoh the pain was real coz the love was real too, no matter her age! I miss her terribly. She is my Sweetheart 😍
The void and pain doesn’t go away we just learn to live with it.
May our Gogos continue resting in peace 🕊️🙏🏾

The nurses are so down to earth, free and you find them talking nicely with patients .they don't pretend cos we are there even if we are not there. I even told my mom that Yoo the nurses have peace of mind . The doctors explains everything like we are paying patients. They are so kind

That part about "dying" while grieving when you lose someone was so beautifully articulated Owamie.
I think that's where a lot of confusion stems from for a lot of us. We still want to navigate life in the same way we did when that person was still alive but in plain truth life will never be the same.
This episode was beautiful, thank you Centtwins for sharing your vulnerability and a part of you that's still hurting. You have helped so many put into words what they couldn't. May God bless and sustain you in this path of life you find yourselves in. ❤❤

I totally understand your pain, I lost my one and only grandfather(mom's dad) in 2018, and even though I still had my parents, losing my grandfather was so painful, and just like you guys, death was far from my mind, I just thought he'll always be there.
The worst part for me was that it was the first death closest to me(family), my heart was shattered, my grandfather was super special to me/us but my friend at the time said the exact words "he was old", "he lived, be thankful for the years you had with him(as if that takes away from the pain)", she even went as far as saying at least it's not your mom(she lost her mom while she was still young so I guess that's why she was comparing the pain).
Last year I lost my mom and I still say that, the pain of losing a loved one is something you feel at the time, and the fact someone was old, or that you still have your parents doesn't take away from the pain and trauma.
Sending you love and hugs CentTwins❤❤️.

Joh! You guys, listening to you talk about losing your grandmother is so hard. You are explaining the exact pain I felt the day my mother past. And it's so true, you never get used to that pain, it's different. Once when I was praying and I said to God I don't know the perfect word to use for this pain because it's not just pain. I heard "anguish" in my head. And in the dictionary it says it's severe mental or physical pain or suffering.
Am so sorry you lost her because I know from experience that she wasn't just a grandmother, she was a mother, a friend, even a sister, a praying partner and many more.

Watching this show has taken me back to the loss of my grandmother. Firstly, my sincere condolences to the centtwins. We believe gogo went to a better place and may she continue to rest in peace.
My grandmother died of same situation years ago, she developed a tiny blister under her foot, it looked like it was coming from inside the foot, day by day the blister kept on enlarging. She went from leeping to being immobile, until we started carrying her. She was so helpless to the extent that she couldn't even sit on the toilet. I took care of my grandmother until when she told us that she sees herself dying. I think the day she died her spirit was already gone coz she literally told us that the day wouldn't end

Sending you love and light Twins during your healing process. One thing I would like to say is that We are hear to serve God and must pray for more wisdom in our lives not to allow humans(like pastors) to be bigger than God in our lives. Sorry to hear about your church experience♥️.

Losing a grandmother is so painful especially if she is the only parentu have. I lost mine while I was in grade 9 and I had no one😢. I finished my matric while staying in others peoples houses until I found a job to be independent.I pray may the Lord strengthen you guys❤. And I absolutely understand your pain.

I lost my grandmother when I was in grade 7/ std 5. I accepted that I am an orphan with parents. I learnt to fight through life on my own with God being a leader. Today I am 54 still an orphan with both parents.

I love the conversation. Listening to you encourages me to realise that it's okay to feel what you need to feel to be okay.
I lost my grand mother, the closest thing I had to q parent. She raised me from 2 years after my mom passed away. Actually my Koko was my mom. When my aunt call me to come back home urgently. I know exactly that am finished. Felt like she left with part of me.
I hugged and kissed her hundred times. Said to my aunt she is still breathing can we wait a bit she will wake up. Miss her alot . May her soul rest in peace
