Damn shame honestly. Rutger Hauer was a damn good actor. Blade Runner is my personal favorite movie, and i heard he was going to be at the Comic Con in Boston last year, so me and my family went. It was then we found out he passed only a month before the con actually started.

It would be pretty interesting if, upon HL3 eventually releasing, this is the route they decide to take the G-man. Like, have him be a more constant presence throughout the game, and you start learning more about him and his goals, while he grows more fond of Gordon, enough so that he sacrifices himself to ensure his plans for Gordon come to fruition without Gordon dying. Of course, being the ever mysterious G-man they'd probably make it ambiguous as to whether he actually died or not.

This makes me think, imagine in the end of the franchise, Gordon finally musters up enough power to confront and beat the Gman, in his final hours of his existence he doesn't have a reveal for Gordon, a explanation of the universe to show how everything makes sense once you understand it bc he himself doesn't totally understand it, like, this interdimensional, infinitely powerful and influential entity it's just as confused, scared and small to the universe as Gordon is, that even he is a underdog, to its employers, and now in the end, just as any other sentient entity is scared of what's to come, bc he's never seen it, he's scared that despite how much he has influenced this small portion of the universe he will be erased from it and along with him everything he has ever thought.
The ending of the final boss which is gman he gives This final speech when you impale him with a crowbar in the heart and when he’s bleeding out he gives you this speech end of the series...

the upper lip rarely moves, the only instances would be when sounding an "o" or a "p", "m" and even that still, is only squeezing and/or moving it downwards, they pretty much don't go up at all...
this film seemed to be the progenitor of a LOT of Sci-Fi anime involving androids and cyborgs..One such Anime that I cherish in the vein is "Armitage The III" It's set in a distant future, where Earth has colonized Mars and uses androids and cyborgs for menial jobs and service work. There are sentient "bioroids", which are basically an android that is grown with human tissues and cybernetics and believe they are human..only a handful know what they really are..and one such Bioroid is Armitage..She poses a very important and poignant question to the OVA's other protagonist. "If humans didn't want me, then why did they create me??"

It wasn't improvised though. Hauer wrote the monologue hours before they had to shoot it.
