Monk's Exclusive - A series in which we would like to showcase an exclusive eatery in our full length video.
This week we visited an authentic Brahmin style lunch spot called as Brahmana Prasadam which has made its name among Bangaloreans within very limited time.
Its located on 21st main road, Banashankari 2nd stage.
Opened during Auguest 2022 on Varamahalakshmi festival. They started by serving various types of Prasadam food as breakfast with starting price of 20₹.
Their concept is very unique and has grabbed crowd's attention and is loved by public. Now they have expanded their eatery at a new place with a proper seating arrangements.
Everyday their Menu keeps changing , we can know their menu on their instagram handle one day prior and prebook it.
Their Lunch time is from 12:30pm - 3pm.
A Brahmin style food is cooked and served in Brahmin style on Banana leaf with almost 15-16 dishes.
Priced at 199/- is completely worth it and was super satisfying meal for sure.

People pay 100s for pizza n bugar. But feel 199/- costly for authentic banana leaf lunch.
Yes because banana leaf food is our everyday food..so why pay so much. If you go to Italy, pasta is cheap. If you go to china, fried rice is cheap..so we expect our own cuisine to be cheap. Common sense buddy.
@@shivtj cost of the grocery is not less as u think buddy. Go to the market n grocery store n get the rates ..... Banana leaf is sold at a price of 5rs per piece. Oil good quality 1liter 170/-.
He is not doing anything for donations. He is running a business and trying to provide employment to at least a few people . Let's not spread negativity. If possible appreciate the work.

I eat banana leaf meals near my office every other day for 120 inr..it's awesome..so do you think he's doing charity? Anyways maybe you're rich so 200 inr for this is ok..it's not for me peace tc.
Also if you're in US you pay like a dollar for burger, if you're in Japan thier bento meal costs like 280 yen which is like 140 inr and these are developed countries...is it wrong to expect my cuisine for a cheap price in india...yes i have travelled well, which is why when i say this is expensive, it has more credibility. I don't want to pay 200 inr for the food that i can literally make at home and eat.
@@shivtj You get veg meals at 80 rs on banana leaf n 500-600Rs on banana leaf. The point is that whatever they are serving will cost around 150. Obviously they need to keep margin of profit.
Coming to the point of Pizza none say it's expensive or costly. Almost all the ingredients are available in our country to prepare pizza yet it's costly...1 plate rice n sambar is 50/- one sweet avg 30 rs 1 plate curd rice 40/- , 1 papad 10 RS Sambar powder oil vegetables all these taken into consideration . If we calculate it's almost 150-160 INR
The quality also matters.
If he is serving poor quality his eatery /restaurant will be closed soon. Quality is good he will establish. People care about quality rather than price. People are not fools to keep paying higher prices for cheap quality.

Not at all worth these guys are cheating... PPL.. they started with saying prasada n charged 20rs... Now everything is 40/60/80 rs.. there is no value for dishes

After seeing this vlog visited this hotel today at about 12.30 hrs. Hotel is a small place. Can accommodate about 20 to 25 customers at a time. Food wasn’t ready at that time. The Food is prepared outside and served here. Cost of food is ₹199/ per person. The food is tasty / delicious and has variety too. But the service is very poor and needs improvement. I asked for second serving of a few sabjis but they take a long time to serve and I felt there is some sort of reluctance for additional serving of sabjis. This area needs lots of improvements. The owner/ employees should keep in mind that they are not serving free Temple Prasadam to customers, but it is costing ₹199/. The service should be done with a smile and adequately satisfy the customer. I have no complaints about the quality of the food served here. Only the quantity needs some improvement. Manpower in the hotel should also be adequate.

Dear Sir,
The owners are Bharadwaja Gothra Brahmins and they are preparing the food and daily offering the food prepared to the Lord Narasimha Swamy Saligrama and Sudarshana Chakram, in which Lord Vishnu is residing, and the food is offered to Lord Shiva (Chandramouleshwara) as well.
This has been explained from 1:27 onwards in this video.
Since it is a Brahmin Hotel and also they are offering the foods to the Gods, they have named it as "Brahmana Prasadam" & the owner has himself mentioned that there are no Onions and Garlic being used since they have to offer it to the Gods before serving the food to the customers. From 1:40 onwards in this video
Hence they are also playing the Vedic chantings in the backdrop to create a Godly feeling for the customers.
We went there two months back. While having food we saw a lizard on the wall and the sambar utensil was below that. WE worried if it falls in the sambar. Also we were made to sit down on the wooden bench type. We saw cockroaches coming out of it. Cleanliness is not maintained

Better to choose other if you were hungry. You can't expect quantity rather then 1 spoon payasa, kosambari, palya and 1/2 sout chitranna item. No asking second time, if you ask, you are going to be disappointed. Not worthy. No fruit at the end.
Whenever i hear and see the word "prasadam" i remember it since it was a code word in our school days for getting hot hot whackings from the teachers with their fat canes. After getting beatings nicely from teacher my classmates used to ask me "hegithu prasada ma'am indha" or "bisi bisi yaagidhiya" or "kadubu hegithu" or "innu bekaa prasada". I still remember rubbing my bum till I reached home and checking my bum in the mirror to check for the cane marks

After seeing in u tube I went to BRAHMANA PRASADAM for lunch, I started by 11-30 at c ge halli and reached that place by 13-30 and found that I have to wait for 1 hour and by 14'30 I was given place, we were four persons,and finished the meal by 15-00 hours,paid Rs 838/_ THE MEAL WAS NOT PALATABLE,DAL WAS served 1 spoon only, the curries were also served one spoon only, no curd only butter milk, we are satisfied it is below standard, why u tube gave such publicity is not known, WASTE OFTIME AND WASTE OF MONEY
