It's finally here! If you missed out on the first batch, reach out to Binary to get on the waiting list for batch #2. LOVE the straight top tube, less curvy down tube, lower seat post gusset (uniquely awesome), seat stays attached forward of the seat post, HP logo on the head tube... beautiful piece of bicycle!
Bravo! You are an artist! It should be called Maniak HP. Your design, your name should be on it. That also means the logo should be near the seat tube. Again, your design, your way. Just my $.02 worth.
The new bike looks amazing!!!! Can’t wait to see the ride review! Keep the decals simple, “Binary” on the down tube and “HP” on the top tube, back by the seat tube.
Congrats, awsome bike. I just picked up a Binary Havok frame from Steve last week, basically a drop bar Hardtail with clearance for 29x3.0. Putting together my build list now. Decided on the 5DEV cranks because of your review. I’ll also go with GX Eagle with Gevenalle Shifter/brake leavers. Your channel is super helpful. Thanks
Lots of great design details there. Adjustable drops, big tire clearance, straight seat tube. FYI Black Spire here in BC make a bb mount bash guard so no adaptor is needed. I have one on my Chameleon.
Man, this is so much more bike than I need and in no way could I justify the cost, but the want level is maxed! Such a sweet bike! Love the HP logo on the headtube too!
Nice Bike! (I caught the subliminal message T-shirt ;-). I'm excited to take delivery of mine and hit the trails with it. I'm gathering mismatched color anodized parts now to bling mine out with a rainbow color gradient. Looking forward to a Maniak group ride next year!
@hardtailparty I took delivery of my completed Maniak today! I absolutely blew my "budget"out of the water, but the resulting machine is so amazing, it's almost unsettling. The combo of frame, wheels (Zipp 3zero moto), fork (Pike Ultimate), bars (Oneup carbon) and the Onyx hub result in the smoothest, most damped, muted machine I've ever felt. There are so many sounds and vibrations that I'm NOT experiencing on this bike, it's going to take a little time to get used to it. I'm so glad I found Hardtail Party, got to know you a bit and leaped on this frame when the opportunity presented. Thank you for not pushing me toward it at all. - Those on the fence, "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up".
What a killer setup! Very similar to how I run mine. A quiet bike is such a thing of beauty. I'm so thrilled with how the production Maniak turned out. Enjoy your amazing bike.
Wow, what a beautiful bike - even nicer than the first frame. The gusset on the bottom is not a style breaker, it looks good actually. If HP stays on the headtube logo, i would call it only Maniak.
HUGE congrats Steve! Amazing work on what will surely be an amazing frame. Can't wait to hear the ride report! The work put into that rear end is nothing short of stunning, and 29x3 on a 418 chainstay is quite a feat! Build looks super sweet as well. I feel the same about the Hydra, hoping we move away from the childishly loud hubs soon, it's a really unnecessary fad.
