The way he phrased it, I thought for a second he used revives during nuzlockes, which I think would get people understandably upset, but complaining about anything else is kinda bull.
@@kryzethx Items are a legitimate strategy since they cost money. In most of Pokémon, you have to choose between time and money. Definitely I absolutely love Unova and although I am a bit biased towards it because I'm a Unova baby it's.....just got the best of everything. Good music, great story, amazing character development, and a lot of fun pokemon designs and ideas
Lol... funny how people have different experiences with the same game! For me, BW was when I considered quit with Pokémon! The gameplay and story are too slow; Unova dex are terrible with many overdesigned Pokémon and many of them being just a ripp off from Kanto Pokémon; The Gen lock problem (you didn’t feel like a Pokémon game but just a fan hack rom; and, to be honest, I think Unova Soundtrack very annoying😓 (but it has few good tracks)... The story never got me into because in the other games Pokemons never was treated like slaves or something. They always made clear that the relationship between humans and Pokémon was a bond of love and friendship.... so I felt all the N questions dumb as hell (N himself is dumb). And in the middle of plot there is a scene of sexual harassment over your character that is disgusting... (ferry wheel part). Thanks god Gen 6 came and brought me back to the franchise and Mega Evolution alone crashes to ash everything that Gen 5 tried to make good.
@@pedromonteiro2248 It is interesting how everyone has different experiences but one thing you may have remembered wrong is that Pokemon HAS touched one the Trainer Pokemon relationship and Pokemon being slaves since the beginning. Team Rocket uses Pokemon to further their agenda and Giovanni I believe even refers to them as tools (He says it in Pokemon Masters I just don't remember if he said it in older games). Silver your rival character in Gen 2 states that he doesn't care about Pokemon unless they can fight and he doesn't love his Pokemon at all. His character arc was about him coming to care about his Pokemon and respect other people. Gen 3 & 4 aren't as direct but you still have evil teams using Pokemon for their own goals. They probably treat those Pokemon better than Team Rocket but you do have to question if the Pokemon are happy with what their trainers are doing. The anime also had plenty of characters that treated Pokemon like tools most prominently Paul who was Ash's main rival in the Gen 4 anime and because he kept winning Ash started to question if his methods were actually wrong. The relationship between trainer and Pokemon has always been contested Gen 5 just brought this question to the forefront of the story. Also N isn't dumb as much as sheltered. He was raised since he was a child by Ghetsis in an isolated environment where the only Pokemon he had contact with were ones that were abused by humans. He literally has no reason to think otherwise when for 10-15 years he was raised and shown constant proof that humans were bad for Pokemon. It was interacting with the player that first made him question his view point and eventually he released that he had been tricked. The other stuff is all opinions so I won't comment on it but Gen 5's story makes perfect sense and eventually would be brought up if Gen 5 didn't do it.
@Luca Seresin Well, XY has a better Metascore than BW and better sales as well. Besides, BW are the worst sales in core games series and suffered a big blackish in their release! XY brought the best online system of all games and the BEST FEATURE in Pokémon franchise: Mega Evolution! I think that XY works better than BW in what Pokémon games really are: Pokémon games are much more a social experience than a JRPG. That the reason Pokémon are so popular in more than 25 years. If they just work as jrpg like many Unovababes claim BW are, Pokémon games would not have succeed so greatly for so much time! Jrpg are in decline because it’s formula is outdated. Pokémon still in the top of popularity because of the mechanics of interaction between players that XY does near perfectly. But XY itself is the best Pokémon experience of all Pokémon games even in offline mode. Not just a lame copy of Gen I like BW tried to be.
@Luca Seresin Well, you are just biased by BW and ignored every objective arguments I have like Metascore, sales and the blackish. BW is a fail because tried to copy Kanto as the first generation of Pokémon. Most of those games designs are uninspired and too much equal of Kanto. The gameplay is slow and tedious. Besides, the Unova Dex are full of overdesigned Pokemon and ripp offs (like Audino is a lame Copy of Chansey). As I said, JRPG elements are not essential to the Pokémon games. But the interactive aspects make Pokémon the giant that it really is!
the newer guides are actually based on the official japanese guide as mentioned in the book credits so they tend to have less mistakes or jokes. For XY, due to the worldwide release, they went back to write the guides themselves since they do not have the japanese guide to base on thus the XY vol 1 is slightly lesser quality compared to the recent guides but still useful.
I haven’t touched Pokémon Black/Black 2 in 10+ years. After seeing this, I’m restarting Black 2 and beginning the journey all over again. I hope that these beautiful games will one day be remade. I loved the music.

I love that these videos are simultaneously a challenge run and also a guide review. I've got a feeling your channel is about to start gaining some serious momentum!
First guide I actually own lol I wasn’t allowed to get one for HGSS because my school library had it but it was very popular, not because a lot of people played HGSS but because it was some kind of weird status symbol for people who didn’t even own the games
Ah, I miss those strategy guides. I remember back when I was in grade school I got the one for Pokemon DP and I read all of the pokemon stats over and over, once I eventually got Platinum I would always refer back to the pokedex guide. Those really were the days.
Pokemon white was what truly got me into the games, sure I had played some of the original ones such as leaf green, ruby and many more but white got me indulged into it. White will always mean so much to me.
8:57 Ah yes, Lenora the mistress of martial arts. be careful of her fighting type pokémon your Roggenrola won't do much against her fighting type team! great video though. i really enjoy these.
I’ve been waiting for this moment since your first nintendid video came out! Great job, I really appreciate everything you’ve done to keep us entertained!! Keep hammering away ;)
Maybe you destroyed Zekrom so hard 10 years ago, felt bad and had to patch it up. If you DO hate caves, you must've loved Sword & Shield! Is there a guide for Pokémon Stadium and/or Snap available? I'd love to see videos about them!
About the mustralton cave and routes thing, those pages are right after you get surf, which is necessary to access those areas Kind of like a reminder of, hey, you can now go to these areas
The reason the guide had route 17/18/P2 lab and mistralton cave in a seemingly out of order place is because you just got the surf hm, so those places only just became accessible
Assumedly Routes 17+18, P2 laboratory, and Mistralton Cave are all wedged in next to twist mountian because that's when you get the surf HM, and all those areas require surf to reach.
I have both of the volumes and the books have a lot of nostalgia for me (I remember fighting my brother for them lol). I think gen 5 was when I really started understanding pokemon more but my first generation was 4 and Sinnoh so both generations have a place in my heart.
I actually bought one of those books from a gamstop for Black and White 2. It told me there was a Riolu in the farm place, and that's the only thing I used it for
I hop on RUclips lost, wondering what I should watch first, I see PapaSea was hammering away at it again, and I know to where I am being led! #blessings #peace #love
This is the reason why BW is my top 3 favorite pokemon games of all time! After you beat the E4, I love the twist you don't fight against the champion, but you fight your "rival" in ideology, who did defeat the champion, and afterwards you end the true main story game with a final battle against the evil team leader. Fantastic game!!!
Gen 5 was a huge factor in my continued love of the series. I fell off during gen 4. It was fun but walking into 5 completely blind was like picking up the games for the first time. Funny enough, same goes for 8...
I remember using this guide as a kid! If I may nitpick, it does make sense to include Route 17 and Mistraltron Cave before Twist Mountain because those optional areas are now available from the HM Surf you got from Alder. The guide also does mention Rotom’s forms being accessible through Shopping Mall Nine. That was actually how I learned that, starting in Gen V, each form changes Rotom’s Ghost Type.
I remember getting this guide back when Black and White came out, and being discouraged from even beating the first gym because of the incredibly overkill "level recommendations" and how slow grinding exp was. This guide PREVENTED me from seeing the vast majority of the game.
This actually looks like a pretty cool guide. I still haven't beat Gen 5 yet myself, despite having bought both White and White 2 as they were released and even getting some of the event items like the Liberty Pass for Victini. I think it is because they came out just as I was finishing college, so I was pretty busy. I will hopefully get back to them soon. 28:37 That's interesting that they said that about which sequel to play. I just bought White 2 because I had previously bought White. I do remember them saying something similar about Ultra Sun and Moon, that you should play whichever "Ultra" game was the same as the other Alolan game you'd played - Ultra Sun if you played Sun and Ultra Moon for Moon. Which I did. I think it matters a bit more with Sun and Moon though cause of the time mechanic where Sun follows the real life time while Moon is 12 hours ahead, which is also true in the Ultra games.
I absolutely love the fact that the longer this series goes on, the more insider jokes are added to your vocabulary without being "on the nose" with it. As always, hammer away with those type trumping moves!!

I think that XY works better than BW in what Pokémon games really are:
Pokémon games are much more a social experience than a JRPG.
So, are the Japanese guides actually written by/with help from the developers and/or data taken directly from the game code?
I haven’t touched Pokémon Black/Black 2 in 10+ years. After seeing this, I’m restarting Black 2 and beginning the journey all over again. I hope that these beautiful games will one day be remade. I loved the music.
Nice I am nostalgic for unova so I am doing volt white blaze black and blaze black volt white 2 and randomized. As long as it’s gen 5 or before I like randomizing them and there’s always rom hacks.
They probably will. After all, they seem to be remaking all their games.
Yep
"These games released 10 years ago now-"
Ow. Ow my bones. They have grinded to dust
Bless you, Wright. The birb who hammered away at Gothitelle.
"Chances are, if you've clicked on this video, you've probably played Pokemon Black and White before."
Well, good sir, you should know that I've taken a vow to never play Pokémon Black and White unless Natural Harmonia Gropius himself tells me to.
(But Larvesta is like my favorite Pokemon so like if I do it'll be a solo run with it baybee)
Have fun with that, since not only do you need five badges to even access Larvesta, Larvesta is objectively unusable until it evolves.
*At level 59.*
@@ethnictendo Have you heard of trading?
@@dig8634 Yes. That has nothing to do with levelling up a Larvesta from level 1 to level 59.
@@ethnictendo You can trade it at a high level? Or just grind it out. Hardly the weirdest thing someone has done in Pokémon...
@@dig8634 I don't see how trading it at a high level will fix the levelling issue. You need to level it up first for that to work, idiot.
It took me 5 times to beat Elesa because I was determined to use Sandile
I had both copies of these growing up and I ADORED IT! It was so helpful, and I definitely caught things in there I would have missed otherwise.
3:25-the moment PaPaSea realized the guide was amazing-it still had the berry page.
"What's your name?" Girl
"Where are you from?" Yes
I love that these videos are simultaneously a challenge run and also a guide review. I've got a feeling your channel is about to start gaining some serious momentum!
I love how this series successfully pops up in my recommended on every video release so consistently. Shout out to the algorithm for once
I love how the weird phrases from previous guides all come together in the newer videos. Hammer away, type trump...
Man, Black and White are such good games
I love that you have the Persona 5 music going on in the background. It's just low enough to make you question, but if you pay attention it's there.
First guide I actually own lol
I wasn’t allowed to get one for HGSS because my school library had it but it was very popular, not because a lot of people played HGSS but because it was some kind of weird status symbol for people who didn’t even own the games
Nintendo: Let’s soft reboot the franchise.
Fans: Let’s POWER CREEP the franchise!
Gen 5 was my first and I will not forget how great the games where 🎉
Yeah, top quality games. I only like firered/leafgreen more than the gen 5 games, otherwise they are my favourites
I personally don't like gen 5 all that much, but hey it beats gen 6 any day
When you hear the man who wrote the FR/LG guide also worked on this one:
WOOOO
Being honest here, I only played Pokemon Black 2 so watching this was like a summarized experienced I needed. Thanks dude
The first Game for me to Nuzlocke, and I still love it to this day! Great work as always!
Ah! My favorite generation of the series! Thank you for uploading this video and keep up the good work, PaPaSea!
Is PaPaSea a play on the word Papacito? Hmmm...
i love this series, its so original and entertaining. keep up the great work papa
Feels weird to call sea papa 😭
I have both guides and I read them so much when BW came out. Even when I wasn’t playing the game
3:35 well... Nostalgia just punched me in the face..
I miss that sound
Its really entertaining hearing your dialect become more and more changed with every guide
Maybe you destroyed Zekrom so hard 10 years ago, felt bad and had to patch it up.
If you DO hate caves, you must've loved Sword & Shield!
Is there a guide for Pokémon Stadium and/or Snap available? I'd love to see videos about them!
About the mustralton cave and routes thing, those pages are right after you get surf, which is necessary to access those areas
Kind of like a reminder of, hey, you can now go to these areas
Whoever made the black and white soundtrack needs a billion dollars
Man this guide is actually pretty good. I actually didn't know a lot of extra stuff from the games
I actually bought one of those books from a gamstop for Black and White 2. It told me there was a Riolu in the farm place, and that's the only thing I used it for
Currently grinding in Black 2 to get all the Mons in order to transfer them over to X/Y to complete the dex, this is nice timing!
17:52 those areas are displayed surely because they're explorable now that Alder gave you Surf, whereas you couldn't previously reach them.
Yeah, exactly what I thought. Otherwise, u don’t think to backtrack and visit those places
Gen 5 was a huge factor in my continued love of the series. I fell off during gen 4. It was fun but walking into 5 completely blind was like picking up the games for the first time. Funny enough, same goes for 8...
I love that you play Perdona music in the background haha that’s awesome!
Somewhere out there, a walking Furret is very happy to see this video
3:31 "as nintended" idk if this was on purpose but i love it
Ah yes. Lenora. My favorite FIGHTING type leader
Love the Persona 5 theme on the Background. Your Videos "How Nintendo intended to beat..." are fun to watch
Man, this takes me back
Loved the gentle caressing of the berry page
The story in black and white is sooo good
My first pokemon games and my favorite games. So glad I get to see you run through these games again. Thank you for making these videos
Black and white was my childhood
I remember using this guide as a kid! If I may nitpick, it does make sense to include Route 17 and Mistraltron Cave before Twist Mountain because those optional areas are now available from the HM Surf you got from Alder. The guide also does mention Rotom’s forms being accessible through Shopping Mall Nine. That was actually how I learned that, starting in Gen V, each form changes Rotom’s Ghost Type.
I love how his phrase vocabulary slowly increases with every video.
I have SO much nostalgia for this guide, thank you so much for doing a video on it.
Man is always using Persona 5 music in the background of the intros, I respect it
I remember getting this guide back when Black and White came out, and being discouraged from even beating the first gym because of the incredibly overkill "level recommendations" and how slow grinding exp was. This guide PREVENTED me from seeing the vast majority of the game.
Cant wait for pokemon X and Y Nintended.
Always great to see another nintended video. Let's hammer away at the pokemon league and lay down the law against team plasma.
At 18:00 those areas are shown because you just got surf and they’re optional surf routes
Not even a single mention of precious boi Audino.
0/10, DO NOT RECOMMEND.
I absolutely love the fact that the longer this series goes on, the more insider jokes are added to your vocabulary without being "on the nose" with it.
As always, hammer away with those type trumping moves!!
You were intended to use reuniclus, trust me
Ooh baby ! I never get tired of this series
