Why do you guys not make any more videos like the Tetris ones anymore?
Hi, The Chicken. I'll tell you - first of all, videos like that are incredibly time consuming, and time is money. We don't make enough money to be able to spend the time on anything of that scale, now that we have children and mortgages.
Also to be honest there's no reason why we would - we wrote the song and our friend Chris Lincé decided to make the video. It's not like we set out to make that style "our thing", it was just what was appropriate for that song, and because it became popular, people naturally assumed we would be doing more like it. But other songs require other types of video.
We've had each had a fair amount of misfortune over the past few years, and it's slowed everything down. Right now we're working on our other band Dawn of the Squid, but once that's up and running we will resume our Pig activities.
Finally, attempting to repeat past glories is risky. Much better to do something fresh that works on its own terms and doesn't invite comparison.
