Magnetic Soft Jaws - Tip For Your Clamps

  • I own a bench vise with very aggressive serrated jaws (the part that clamps onto to your object). These jaws work great for steel but on other materials they usually leave permanent indents (aka marring) on the surface. Things that I work on typically need a nice finish surface. To keep a nice surface while holding in the vise, calls for non-marring jaws or soft jaws.
magnetic soft jaw pads are a great way to securely hold your polished or finished metal round stock without the risk of leaving marks or scratches. Perfect for holding chrome Heim joint linkages, anodized tubing or non-tapered rifle barrels in place when you need an extra hand. The 4" soft jaw pads will easily fit any bench vise from 3 to 6 inches wide and stay in place firmly with the magnets permanently fixed into the backside with screws rather than glue or double back tape that may someday let you down when you need it most.

    Hello, my talented new friend.
This is a great idea. There are really nice works and projects on his channel. I saw that we had something in common. The idea of jaw magnetism for clamps is very useful and logical. Congratulations. Thank you for sharing. See you. Great greetings. Warm hug...

NICE. I have been doing the same with durable 90deg. Reinforcement delivery cardboard strips. These are very durable and lasy a year or so... Very useful. My magnets are on top of course...:)
