I hope you enjoy my overview of this Audi S6! This video basically walks you through the many features, specifications, and details on this car.
You might like this car if you're looking for a great luxury sedan, that you can still have fun with every once and a while. This also has to be one of the cheapest ways to get a Lambo V10. Despite being relatively cheap used, the car still feels very well built, and the features on it are definitely nice. The engine alone makes it my personal favorite generation of the S6.

I actually don’t know what to look for since I don’t own this car, but I think it’s best to invest in a pre-purchase inspection before moving forward in the purchase. Otherwise I feel like Audi V10 engines are pretty robust as I’ve seen a few R8 V10s and Huracans with many miles and no issues.
Check for a plasticy rattling noise from the intake manifold. This indicates broken flaps inside the manifold. At the very worst and very rare case these can get sucked into the combustion chamber meaning you need a new engine. Also these cars have 3 timing chains check for a metal rattling noise at coldstarts ($6000 maintenance costs). Oil leaks. This car can leak from so many places (well it has a 2 gallon oil tank not even kidding). Plus be aware that this car suffers from a lot of heat related issues which makes sense so replacing the ignition coils and spark plugs is frequent. Check for intense shaking at cold starts. Can be caused by faulty ignition coils but at the very worst case damaged cylinder walls. (Backstory Audi f'ed up the plasma coating for the cylinder walls on the 06-08 models resulting in intense wear, oil consumption and even engine failures. If your oil consumption is way more than 1L for every 600miles then be careful). Always Always always and I can't emphasize even more always use good oil and change it every 4000 miles at least. Running long life oils is a death sentence for the 5.2 FSI. This car needs a lot of love really and a lot of patience but it performs superbly and the sound is just a dream. I own an S6 Avant. Would I buy it again? Absolutely but always check the car in out before you buy it. If you have any more questions feel free to message me anytime!

Hey. So this is actually not my car. It belongs to a friend of mine. I’ll have to ask him about the tune, and I’ll get back to you on that.
A huge difference, the shifts now with the ESP and ASR off chirp the tires and bang your head into the headrest.
He said that there’s a very pronounced difference with the tune, and it can cut off as much as an entire second from the quarter mile time, if not more. He also said the stock car is a slug compared to how it is now. You should be getting your money’s worth.
Where did you get that RS style grill..also how does the tune compare to the APR tune....
Not sure for either of those because I don’t own this car, but I’m sure you can find an RS 6 grille somewhere online
RS grille was purchased from eBay. It needs a few adjustments to fit right and also make sure to spray paint the crash bar black or it will stick out.
Also the JHM tune is much better than APR. Since the can tune the ECU and TCU. ECU tune without the TCU is pointless because the transmission still have a bunch of safety parameters that limit the power output. There was also someone who dyno'ed the car after an APR tune and it turned out to be nothing but a throttle relearn.
@@DavidLevingston Assuming u are/were the owner of the car? I was curious whether you fixed the flickering taillights? Did you need to recode the lights or add a resistor? since u went from bulb to led?
@@kvi986 was no longer am, sold on carsandbids a few months back. These spyder brand lights came with a module already wired in so they were directly plug and play.

Hey Mick this is my car. I actually got these off of ebay. They are for the c7 s6 though. Not a direct fit but they do the job fairly well.
@@DavidLevingston hi i am interested in which andriod system you installed as well as exhaust and suspension . how much did it all cost you? any help would be greatly appreciated
@@Sandiegocruiser 4x4shop.ca for the center console. Exhaust is a custom fab, pretty much just chopped off all the resonators as well as the mufflers and install an x pipe at the first set of resonators. Suspension is H&R lowering springs, the blue ones and the struts are Beilstien B7's

Apparently the prior owner was an older person and barely drove it.
When i originally purchased it, it actually only had 6k miles, got it from an estate sale.
