I love this!! Thank you so much! As someone who is determined to teach myself how to hand letter this year, I truly appreciate this video. I will be sure to put these tips into practice asap!
This was so helpful, thank you! Also, thanks for the reminder that I just need to practice. My expectations are so high after watching RUclips videos and I get discouraged when I can't do it as well. But it's encouraging to hear that even great artists like yourself had to start somewhere. I love your channel, thank you!
I agree with tip 5! I was so lost looking at those lovely hand lettering work spread online. But I came across tutorials, followed them copies things-and 1 week later I am coming up with my own ideas!
Lower case f is my nemesis. I love how it looks when it looks good, I just can't seem to be able to do it myself. Especially when there's two after each other. Like in coffee.
Thanks for the tips Shayda. Can you also tell us a bit about the way you hold the pencil. I tried it to check if it helps the hand be more free or similar but can't really figure out the benefits. Is that a natural grip in which case of course others won't be comfortable with it ... Sorry, I am so curious :-)
Thanks for all your helpful tips! I've totally adopted your tips and tricks and they work very well. I noticed you used some brush markers. Have you ever used Tombow brush markers? I would love to see what you could come up with using them. Take care! Lots of love from BK NY.
Can't imagine how you write holding the pen like that. We were taught not to do that in pre-school. I think you would do better if you held your pen the normal way.

You make it look so easy, but you also make sense and not be discouraged initially. I have to keep practicing. Thanks!!

I dunno why I am disturbed by your pen holding style but great and cool video it is.
Who taught you how to hold a pen when you were little?
you look like ellen

HOW could you possibly hold your pen in such a way??? Looks awful!
