Julia Fox is an Italian-American actress, author, television host, and multi-faceted artist. Born in Italy and raised in New York City, Fox's trajectory into the realms of fashion, art, and literature is marked by a bold, spirit and an unwavering commitment to self-expression. As an author, Fox became a New York Times bestseller with her 2023 memoir “Down the Drain,” also the namesake of her 2024 debut single. In 2019, she made her acting debut in the film “Uncut Gems” starring alongside Adam Sandler. The film marked a breakthrough moment in Fox’s career and allowed her to reach new heights of notoriety. Fox has also found success in fashion, creating a fashion line in her early twenties and more recently walking in runway shows during NY Fashion Week. This year, she began hosting and executive producing the brand-new E! series “OMG Fashun” with celebrity stylist Law Roach. Today on the couch, Julia discussed her not-so-traditional upbringing, how being a mother has changed her perspective, entering the music industry, working with Charli XCX (and being name-dropped in “360”), and so much more!

This woman is the real deal...There's just something about Italian women that grow up or become famous via NYC (Gaga, Julia, Madonna) They have an unapologetic artsy vibe, while remaining true to themselves and cool af. Her book was enthralling. I couldn’t get enough. It’s something I will go back and listen to more than once. I want to get a psychical copy as well for the shelf. I hope she writes another book. She could write about anything and I’ll eat it up.
This intro story has made me write down my family and friends numbers on a piece of paper which I’m going to keep in my bag in case something happens to my phone. She so right, in the late 90s and early 00s I used to know everyone’s numbers by heart and now I don’t even know my mums number!
I still remember my parents numbers, my sister and my cousins number off by heart from the 2000s! And my first workplace 😅 people now don’t know their own passwords never mind their friends and family’s phone numbers 😮

i keep coming back to this one clip in the interview bc it’s actually so comforting to hear someone with the type of platform julia has casually talk about their adrenal glands & how anxiety / stress can cause abnormal reactions to some things.
i’ve had ppl (my own family at times) tell me i was weird or weak while trying to explain why i might have different reactions than them to some things (i had adrenal cancer in 2019)

4 people in 2016. Some were in some bizarre ways. Childhood was straight Trauma. I’ve always wanted to write a book, but back to my point I’ve been in therapy 2.5 years and I recommend it. I think this young woman needs to make time for it. 😊

I really enjoy listening to Julia Fox. I think she’s brilliant and has a lot to say. Most of the things she says I’m thinking or staying myself or I’ve done. I’m 61 though. I do think, though if she lived out in the country, it is not as easy as people think it sounds magical, but I actually did live in Silverlake Echo Park, where the roosters no longer crowdue to gentrification everything is changing everywhere. However, living in the country is a full-time very rough job and the isolation can be grueling. That’s where I’ve been for five years. Aside from that I think we will see a very interesting future with her.
