Thanks for a budget friendly addition. Always like the wall and weight info for the rods. Perhaps a closeup of the handle with the reel on it. Thanks and have an Awesome new year!
Thanx Kip. I rarely spend more than $400. for rod and reel and always looking for a light, sensitve rod. I like the smaller companies that have to keep prices a little lower than Shimano/Diawa/Lews to get our attention. I do own rods from them but you get what you pay for with them, few surpises. The Phenix Feather has a great blank and ok guide train. They are marked a power down but super lightweight and very sensitive. If you could put them on the wall it would be interesting.
Bring back the full line up rod bending series. It would be nice to see all the Dobyns Kaden rods bent or the full line of Zodias rods. $180-$350 range line up bending would be sweet.
Should have grabbed the Fury 806 off the rack! That’s the one you want if you’re looking to get into legit swimbait fishing. 😎🤙🏽 Haha Bass X actually has some great budget swimbait rods in that line as well, they’re super light too.
The Dobyns Fury 7ft Med spin is an amazing versatile rod. Short handle for jerkbait fishing in a kayak. The backbone to make that hook set on a bomb cast. Drop shot it in grass/vegetation when using a 6”fat straight roboworm on a gamakatsu rebarb hook for extra leverage. Finesse swimbaits…etc
I've been fishing with Falcon rods since I was a kid... I probably have somewhere in the neighborhood of 25 casting rods most of them are Caras and Experters but I have a few of their BuCoo and Lowriders. I have a few of their Lowrider and Cara Spinning rods also. I've started building my own rods on MHX blanks and replacing my Falcons but for the money they're awesome.
Its different for everyone, but the industry standard is a sub 7' rod to aid in casting accuracy, and an extra-fast action to help shake a minnow without pulling it away from the fish
bought 2 dobyns fury a few years ago,, one showed up with 2 broken eyes and the other snapped in half 6 months later fighting a 5lb bass.. maybe i got unlucky but i will not be buying another one.
8’ 80lb rods fair enough casting for gt, 7’6 60lb casting from shore to bouyes. surf fishing mostly use a 6’ rod but night 10 to 12’ is ok when drinking beer.. i dont buy american designed rods to soft in action, dont cast a wide range off lures well. you get suckered into buy more rods then needed. 8 rods on a boats thats money wasting stupidity whencatching a single species a baicaster and a spinning rods is excessive in reality. 7’9 80lb braid to flip heavy cover to catch a 20lb bass erm
american rods are way to long, casting normally is to cover where fish hide, long rods cast to the middle off nowhere near a fish. weird concept hopeing to likley never catch a fish. anything beyond 6,6 is pretty pointless
Read that wrong, now I have to defend a baitcaster. Spinnerbaits/chatterbaits/1/2oz or bigger jigs and on and on and on. Ya throw what feels right for you.

Thanks for the suggestion! Happy new year!
I have a number of Cashion rods and really like them. Light, sensitive and about only reasonably priced rod made in USA.
Excellent series. Thanks, a lot of help.

Tatula XT is tough to beat for the price. Great spinning rods.

Love to see some Phenix rods on the rod wall. The feather m1 and maxim

I got my 6’8 bass x in July. I’ve landed 100+ bass with it. Amazing rod!
Dobyns fury is nuts need to try more options
I have 3 Fury Swimbait Rods 2 795s, 1 806, and a 735 frog rod

love the 7'3" tatula xt casting mhf things badass got my brother in laws the 7' medium fast spinning rod cant beat em
I would say the Fury 734c is more of a do all rod than the 733c, but both solid options

If you’re selling those Experts and Caras, I’m buying! Hit me up.
I’d like to see some ark Tharp series rods
13 fishing Meta Series is my favorite budget line of rods.
Falcons rods are hands down one of the best brands
I like these vids. They are very helpful, but I have a question. How does a fishing rod make a great forward facing sonar rod? How does that work?
Its different for everyone, but the industry standard is a sub 7' rod to aid in casting accuracy, and an extra-fast action to help shake a minnow without pulling it away from the fish
Falcon has a new chatterbait rod I think in Lowrider that I was hoping you’d do.
good show
Glad you enjoyed it!
budget minnow shaking rods next
Tatula XT by far.
Hi Lewis speed stick 7.3 heavy power fast action is very good rod for 65 dollars
1st rod medium light compared to australia rods. all american rods are pretty slow

That's a bummer to hear and completely understandable, but we've always had good luck with them!

forward facing sonar is cheating!!
Cheating who or what?
Why would someone fish a baitcaster over a spinning setup
😂😂😂 go back under your 🪨 kid !!!
Go crawl back under the 🪨 you came from 😂😂
Precision, cast and retrieve faster, better drag, fighting fish easier, throw heavier baits
How's about easy skipping. Drop shotting and Neko/Ned just feels right with a spinning rod. Maybe A. Martin had it wrong.

Stupid title! The best rod money can buy isn’t budget!
Go back and read the title again.
