Ranking the best monsters in Monster Hunter 4U!

- Here is my highly subjective ranking of each monster I fought in Monster Hunter 4U. These are entirely based on my initial playthrough of the game.

Oh yeah, mystery icon, it's Gogmazios. Think it's fan-made because he didn't actually have an icon in-game.
Iirc the icon first appeared on an official MH merch so it’s not really fan made.

Personally my favorite fights in 4U are molten tiggy and ukanlos, they hit hard but are slow enough for you to run around their attacks. Cool looking armor set and weapons from both of them too.
There were so many new favorites introduced to me thanks to 4U. I was actually introduced to a lot of 4U’s monsters via GU. So I was excited to fight the exclusive monsters plus the Fatalis variants that I skipped in GU.
Gog is an amazing monster, and so another non-variant black dragon made its way into my heart. Old Fatalis was a very hype final monster for me! The music for those two are awesome. While a lot of the variants ranged from “what changed?” to “frick this monster,” Tidal Najarala was a pleasant step up! He actually did something different with a pretty neat mechanic, has a gorgeous color scheme, and is fun like regular Najarala!
Funny that this came out today, I went back to 4U so I could grind out the Lagiacrus SA (for 3U nostalgia) and the full Dire Miralis set.
Also, if Capcom is making plushies of all of the black dragons, I can’t wait for Gog’s!
dont want to be rude but Gog is not a black dragon, the only black dragons are Fatalis and his variants, Dire Miralis, and Alatreon. It was actually stated in 4U's artbook that the original plan was for him to be a black dragon but they decided against it
I can't wait for jeihay to experience my absolute favorite monster in the entire series "thunderlord zinogre" in gen/gen.u.
And then he puts it in D tier XD
From the perspective of someone who has done these fights so many times, casuals rating things will never fail to make me laugh even though I’m furious.

I love teostras theme here in mh3u 4u n gen/gen.u. more then it's world theme
That's my general feeling about all the returning monster themes. They just feel off in world, especially if they use to have alot of percussion. Fatty is probably the only one I felt they did well as far as returning monsters go.
@@VulcanfauxI generally agree with that. Although, I also liked Worldborne Alatreon theme too and can't decide for sure if I like it more than his old theme

I once farmed Ruby Basarios up to Lv.140 in Guild Quests, and I am sorry to report it never learns any new tricks after Lv.125, it just goes Frenzy more often. Not like hunting Kirin where after Lv.125 the environment switches from "stable" to "unstable" meaning Deviljho or Rajang can crash your Elder Dragon hunt.
(I've also farmed Shagaru up to Lv.140, hope you enjoy getting one-shot)
Personally, I was never impressed with the Dill Pickle, even my first impression of him in MH4U. Spicy Pickle was memorable only for how much he just wants to PIN YOU (if you run out of Dung Bombs you may as well abandon quest).
I love that rank A is Cool and rank B is Average, we needed rank C to start with B so it would be even better lol

@@Joeynator3000 oh yea I actually didnt watch his 3U journey... Lao is GU is a pretty good fight though he won't really experience 1st gen lao where he was just a walking damage sponge... GU Lao takes a lot from gogmazios so he isn't bad

Ruby bassarios is nice, that multi fire stomp move in Rise was stolen from him.

oh yeah, normal fatalis was always meant to be a disappointment, the only reason they fixed him in Iceborne was a PR mistake that put the community in a frenzy so they pretty much had a bowgun to their heads, 15 years after his was made.
i hope we get oroshi kirin back, give velkhana a break, she still needs to attend physics class. velkhana is stupid, if you understand the story, she can fly but insisted on breaking that wall set piece before attacking the town. only to remember she can fly to retreat. velkhana is the dumbest elder, lowest int stat by far. also we need zamtrios back, it was so sad to not have him in Rise.
the Rise moveset makes rusted kushala utterly pointless, since it's just more grounded non World kushala
please, in Wilds, give us monoblos and make his moveset stand on its own as different from diablos. let him fly and mix digs and dive bombs, problem solved.
they could do a lot of cool stuff with tidal najarala in the future, i hope the snake/leviathan skeleton issues are finally fixed or Wilds. NEW SNAKE!!!
shrouded nerscylla makes 0 sense, it lives in the desert only but hunts khezu that never go there, they actually like the snow maps more so it makes even less sense, and she somehow hangs from nothing like she has Doflamingo's devil fruit.

yes, screw remaking the other 2 fatalis, make gog the Wilds final title update, if they do those again.
