    Bought my first Jasper engine this week looking forward to having it installed. I hope it lives up to the standards referenced in this video.

    Worked as an independent mechanic who no longer deals with jasper engines. Now that I see in this video how hard they work their employees, I see the problem - they seemed pressured

    This is a good view of the production and processes. But Jasper Engines is about how the people at Jasper caring about their work as much as the people they provide solutions to. They build quality, but it’s the quality of the people in Jasper that I see as most important.

    Hey Jasper, I'm having my 12 valve sent in for remanufacturing. It's had 350k on it, and nearly 30 years of loyal service.
    Can't wait to hear her purr again! :)

    I bought a Jasper engine 3 years ago when my valve seals failed, dropped into a cylinder and ruined my engine. I was devastated as I loved my Chrysler 300. My mechanic suggested that I consider getting a rebuilt engine and I agreed. He installed a Jasper engine and I have had zero issues with the reliability and performance of my Jasper engine. I have seen comments here and wonder if the installation and maintenance contributed to those engine failures. I have been religious about maintenance of my engine and added a Cold Air intake, aftermarket headers and exhaust and MSD coils to my build. I have been pleased with this American product and enjoyed the pride that appears to be part of Jasper's corporate culture.

    Where are you selling these engines? It can't be in the US, the last shop I worked that used Jasper engines had 7 or 8 consecutive failures within a couple thousand miles of installation on multiple vehicles over 2-3 years, out of only 10 or so total engine swaps in that time. I've heard similar stories from shop owners all over the country in Facebook groups. Your customer service and warranty coverage was fantastic when I needed it, but it means jack if the engines have a 70% failure rate.

    with remanufactured engines do you install new timing chains and gears.

      No they dont i seen them in another guys video using a old timing chain. Thats why i would never buy a Jasper engine.. everyone is in to much of a rush.. like why would re use a valve spring sorry after 100k miles the metal is fatigued and subject to failure .. and needs replaced with new..

    My thing is, why do y’all feel the need to throw a crappy spray paint job all over my new Engine & Transmission I got from y’all. Y’all even got the paint all over my mating surfaces for my gaskets. I have to sand the block down and do stuff to it before I can even feel comfortable putting it in. Makes it seem like it’s not going to be a good engine and transmission. Paint looks like something a 12 year old did with a spray paint can. Not very comforting.

    I have a F 150 5 L Gen 1 motor,
    Question is can I upgrade to a Gen 2 or 3?

    • @BWADaniel
      @BWADaniel Год назад +1

      Really depends. I’m not sure of your exact motor, wether or not you have a 4 cylinder deactivation mode. Or Variable Valve Timing. Things like that will make or break your plans, but it could be as easy as getting a Computer / ECU / PCM that matches that engine & getting it tuned so it’ll run properly
