  • How to make SUPER Delicious Matcha Bun | Crispy outside and Soft inside | Papparoti/Rotiboy | Qiong
    🍞Ingredients
    1. Bread Dough
    250g Bread flour 1.59cup
    115ml Cold water 0.49cup
    3g Instant yeast 1tsp
    30g Caster sugar 2.4tbsp
    1pc Egg 55g+-
    8g Matcha powder 4tsp
    3g Salt 1/2tsp
    25g Unsalted butter 1.76tbsp
    2. Matcha Toping
    60g Unsalted butter 4.23tbsp
    1pc Egg 55g+-
    50g Sugar powder 7tbsp
    50g Cake flour 6.15tbsp
    6g Matcha powder 3tsp
    8g Milk 1/2tbsp
    * Preheat the Oven at 180°C (360°F) bake for 18 minutes, Cover with foil for the last 8 minutes

    * 烤箱预热180°C(360°F)烤18分钟,最后8分钟加盖锡纸

    Thank you for such a good recipe - for the crust, I substituted matcha powder with cocoa powder so I ended up with choco-matcha buns. Super delicious

    Thank you for converting metric to apothecary measurement. Here in America, we do not use the metric system. It will be hard for us to get the precise measurement especially in baking.

    可以請問一下嗎?要用什麼抹茶粉烘烤出來的顏色才會這麼綠?因為我不管做什麼抹茶的點心,烘烤出來後都會變黃變黑(我只有氣炸烤箱)

    Hello Qiong, First of, thanks for sharing and demonstrating the beautiful and yummy buns. I just made them last weekend and happy with the result and texture. However, I have a question, how do you keep the topping so green after baking? Mine turn out so brown, no green at all :( Do you put the baking sheet on the lower rack (not middle) of the oven so the buns are away from the heat? Any advice and/or suggestion are appreciated.

      You are very welcome. It should be on the middle rack of the oven if you baking bread. And please cover with aluminum foil after 10 minutes baking. That can keep the original color.

      密封保存,第二天回炉烤几分钟就会酥脆了哈

    早安!请问我的面包在烤的时候,上面那层绿茶馅为什么不会流下来覆盖整个面包?上面那层就是想另外一层面皮覆盖上去。我不知道哪里出现问题?是牛油没有融化吗?我想不通。请大琼帮我解答。

      面包一般都是烤箱中层,蛋糕的话看那种,一般是烤箱中下层
