What is the advantage of a wooden can over a ceramic one? I have a ceramic bowl for storing soap about the same size, a synthetic spreader Yaki 30 millimeters - I scoop up soap in 5 seconds, whip in a slightly larger bowl in 10-15 seconds and a thick, gorgeous lather is ready to use. In principle, I do the same as you, but I don't like extra movements, extra work).
The bowl in the video is a copper bowl. The advantage relative to a ceramic bowl is that is won't break. If wanted to lather and shave as quickly as possible, you can avoid the bowl all together by loading the brush from the tub and face lathering. If you want to lather even faster, you can use our shave stick without a brush. All that said, this video was really meant for shaving enthusiasts. We like lather a certain way and you can't achieve that in 15 seconds.
all I do Is add a shave brush full of water directly into the shave puck in the bowl. shake out the brush and swirl it directly in the bowl till the brush gets full. then apply it to the face and work it in. this works for me. may not work for others. thanks for the video. tried soft cream soaps don't' care for them to much work the ole puck type works best for me. I like to alternate my soaps and shave brushes and double edge razors. I have seven brushes and razors to change every third shave. plus three bowls of different soaps to alternate also. just my preference. this give me a different feel every time. plus three different types of double edge razor blades. keeps the monotony down thanks for video
my Simpson T3 Trafalgar is the best brush on the market today it's like buying a $200 badger hair brush, no cleaning the brush, no need for a brush stand, fast drying time, well not fall apart like a badger hair can, cheap to buy, i have owned it for 5 years with know problems wheelchair Larry
Shave with any bar soap or Mitchell's Wool Fat? Cut the bar soap up, put in a mug, cover the soap with a small amount of water, microwave for a minute or so? if it foams up, stop. let cool you just went it to congeal' place in the sun, until soap hardens Larry
Great video! Water is definitely the key to a great lather!

Fantastic video! Thank you, this has helped quit a bit!
Glad it helped!
yo! was that a tick?
which bowl that that? the standard or the heavyweight one?
Chris, it's the standard weight. Since doing this video, we have a bowl now as well that is a top performer.

Omega 10098, I own one too.
should I Break Boar shaving Brush?
Use of First time?
I don't do anything to break them in.
@@nikunjpatel8302 after about ten or twelve shaves a boar or badger brush will start to split on the ends of the hairs and become much softer.
Good one!❤

Should save the soap "run-off" water for adding water later and rinse the soap tub out last.
I totally agree with that if you add water to soften the soap.

CLOSE THE WATER WHEN YOU DON'T NEED IT😭
Worry about yourself!!
Agreed, I use a different method now - filling the bottom of a coffee cup and dipping the brush in it.

Turn off that tap. Don't waste water
Great point. I just did another video and corrected that.
To Usman -pinch your nose and hold your mouth shut tight, dont waste oxygen
@@HendrixClassicshi Pete, I bet you are still getting flak for not turning off the tap ;)
@@okiedokie_cool Not as much lately. I have changed so that I put about a half cup of water in a container and use that rather than running the tap.
You talk too much and educate too little.
