Can someone confirm if Audeze fixed the unit variance that plagued early LCD-X headphones? It's 2020... who in her right mind will gamble on a $1000 headphone that may or may not sound good 😒
I can confirm that audeze unit variance is still a thing. I just bought my lcd x using it for 3 months now. I really like the signature and everything about this headphone except its frequency response. Insane treble spike and a huge dip in the mid range at least my unit really muffled wonky sounding. Focal Clear or Arya anyday over this without eq. With Eq the x is a better value at 1200$
I spent 2-3 hours comparing the Audeze LCD-X and LCD-3 in a closed store, with Questyle, Bel Canto and Moon Audio amps. With every setup I though the LCD-X was superior to LCD-3. More bass, wider soundstage, more slam etc..
@@256alexdt I just ordered my lcd 3 demo version today, can’t wait get it on hand. I have been debating between the latest LCD X and 3. Hopefully I made my correct decision.
Weirdly placed?! Probably, you can’t understand the GEM this headphones is still nowadays… Must add that mine is a particularly successful sample, even among other LCD3s.
Nice review, however it looks like you were reviewing a different headphone than the LCD3 I own (2018 model)...which is extremely immersive, with great details and quite some hard hitting slam. Could there be that many differences between LCD3...?
@@Jordonater hey, i've been enjoying the lcd-4 since last week, the only drawback is the weight. The sound is incredible that's for sure my end game for over ear. Now i'd like to try shure KSE1200 as end game IEM, i had Tia Fourté for 2 years and itès really not worth the price tag.
Solid review man!
A little bit heavier than the LCD-2 but not as heavy as the LDC-3? Whatchutalkinboutwillis? Are you not reviewing the LCD-3?

Would the chord mojo 2 be able to drive the LCD3? Thanks!
They look gorgeous but I can’t believe it’s acceptable to have significant variations in an almost 2000k product.
LCD-2 timbre is not bad. It reminds me most of dynamic driver headphones like Sennheiser but with a little more fuzzy sounding treble.

@@higadograsoyrecuperacion.5754 I got my new LCD 3. Love it.

I would probably attribute this to difference of opinion.
What do you think about the LCD-3's performance in the midrange frequency?
Eric I share you’re review of them
Can you listen to these thru a phone or is that sacrilege?
What the hell does “plastic-y” timbre mean?
Beautiful chrome connectors the headphones be flopping around
Have any plan to review lcd-2c.
it works with fiio m15?
Please do Borealis next.
When’s heddphone coming!?🤞🏻🙏🏻
Hopefully in the next month or so.
Nice shot review, can't sit through a half an hour review with no information other than rant
It’s now on drop for 900 usd does it worth it over the lcd2
Excuse me? Where did you find for 900?!
FYI, I got that krinkle noise when I tried the LCD-2 2018+
Krinkle
LCD-3 or Auteur, which do you choose?
If you are willing to EQ, LCD-3, if not, Auteur
@@maxsettings7884 EQ?
@@lordjaashin Equalizer
3:23 You mean LCD-4
That's lame not to review this with EQ when most know these NEED to be EQ'd to really shine
Just picked one up for 760$
I'm in between lcd2f and lcd3f, I can't make my mind 😁
Go with 2f because its still detailed and actually has a more natural response.

They are meant to be EQd. Not eqing it because for some reason you say "I don't EQ hesdphones" is none sense. It's not hard.
