That model is almost perfect! I love it but my only issue is the wheels hanging way way too low. If you look at the Floating Magnet Display Delorean version that lights up, the bottom of the wheels align perfectly to the base of the cars chasis. Otherwise near perfect, and well detailed model! 👌🏽
You need to base it off the film, not another toy company's interpretation. :)
Danoby2 and that's what I did. If you look at the film, you'll see I'm correct and the other toy version got it right like I stated. Did you read my comment? In the film, the wheels don't hang below the car, they are parallel to the chasis...

Danoby2 I saw it and I still stand by my opinion. Plus, you told me to base it off the movie, and not another toy model, but you're showing me another toy. Toy models of all brands have made the same mistake, because they base their designs off of other toys like you did. The wheels are still too low. Now go to the movie and see what I'm talking about. LOL, use your own advice and don't look at another toy except the one I mentioned that did it right. I think I will do my own version and raise the wheels like depicted in the movie. Either way, awesome job on your build, It looks perfect to me besides the wheels! 👌🏽
Danoby2 Sorry to have to do this to you, but this is my favorite car ever, and I know it very very well!!!! Don't base your model off of others, only the movie!

Thats a great job you did there, buddy! You should try to get some acrylic square pieces to use instead of those round glassed though. Im afraid that the vehicle might slip off those. The struts for the wheels can probably be done in a bunch of different ways too! I'd probably try to utilize the already existing system a bit more though. Maybe even try to get a spare set of wheels and try bulid the led's into it somehow. But I agree with you on not making a permanent convertion. What would be really damn awesome here, is to add actual working mechanics for the convertion. If the plan/engineering was good enough and I'd be certain of the result, I'd probably even make it permanent too! This is a damn awesome display piece! As far as other hover "illusion" ideas goes. What about a wall mount that was secure, and place it so it wouldn't be visible from where ever its supposed to be viewed from? I can see plenty of solutions here, but it would be a permanent spot for displaying it though. Anyways! Damn awesome job, buddy! Brave of you taking the chanse with such a expensive collectible too LOL!

Im hoping to get the props for marty such as jacket and hoverboard etc without having to buy the figure itself.
My main goal one day with mine is to turn it into a fully functioning r/c car with a speaker inside for engine and noise effects controlled with the same remote as doc uses in the film.
But id settle for this mod!
I will make a video on mine in about a years time where il make the time circuits light up and il fit in an mp3 sound board to activate sounds such as time circuits or just ambient noise etc

I am going to see if I can use EL wire to make the lights around the bumpers. Also, I can design a snap on 3d printed part so you don't have to glue anything, and it won't damage the wheel.

The wheels are too low like they're dangling. The part where your light is should be flushed with the base of the car. Nice effort though.
How about the MR FUSION ?? Did you also 3D print that ??
Remember to change the licence plate, the OUT OF TIME one has to be changed for the BAR CODE style one from 2015

Do you know if those pipe clamps on the side will come off without breaking them? I want to replace the rainbow wires on the side so that they aren't so muddy looking.
I wouldn't recommend taking it off.
Are you going to get the reissue of the Kids Logic maglev model? It's not in Hot Toys scale, but squarely hits the BTTF nostalgia button.

Back when I worked there, Gentle Giant Studios did a biker scout with a 'floating' speeder bike. they ran a steel rod up his leg to support it, and the effect was great. It would take some welding, but you could up this game by running a steel rod up marty's leg and a proper support plate above and below (you'd want to make a 'street' base of some sort).

PS: If you used a 3D print for those brackets, you might want to modify them and create a functional piece that allows you the conversion from road to flying mode. That's what i would do!

GTA ONLINE that is from GTA V GRAND TTHEFT AUTO V(5) that contains GTA ONLINE. then you have to buy CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE PACK do get access to THE DOOMS DAY HEIST they have the car they call it DELUXO you can upgde it to hover mode. that is hover a few feet off the ground. then upgrade for fly. you get to install rockets ROCKSTAR GAMES gone out of there way to copy BACK TO THE FUTURE on that one. and they got away with it.

Modded the Delorean.. after they release those other new Back to the future Characters such as Doc Brown and Marty from BBF2. In the end Hot Toys will make another one and you'll go "Oh shit i fucked up.." and they'll have eventually part 2 and 3 made. Really trust me. You wasted time doing this. There goes your 700 bucks lol.. Epic fail..
