    Uma is an introvert book reading lady who happens to be beautiful. When acting she likes to play strong characters. Now that I think about it, he did the needle scene on that kid in his movie like the scene Uma had in Pulp Fiction. Maybe it was all a tribute to her. I think he has a crush. Call me cray cray, but a lot of guys probably have a crush on Uma. Good for her.

    At around one third mark of the video, uma quietly realizes who russell brand is(whoa!!) and goes into defense mode till at the end when she invokes his mother *out of nowhere*. She broke character with that statement. Russell converts the mother part into a joke and brings(covers) her back into the game.

      No kidding. I was 23 back then....31 now. o__O It's weird how it seems like culture hasn't changed all that much in the past 10 years. But, back in 1995, 10 years ago was 1985...which was MUCH different culturally than 1995. Yet, 2014 isn't all that different from 2004. Wonder if 2024 will be much different...

    • @TheReviewSpace
      @TheReviewSpace 10 лет назад +4

      avedic I was 17 in '04 and I'd say it's changed quite a bit. 10 years ago, there were no facebooks, youtubes, or video games in 1080p. No smartphones, ipads, tablets, no Wii/ps3/360/wiiU/PS4/XboxOne. Fashion was still baggy & loose; no skinny jeans as they were a relic of outdated 80s and early 90s trends (ironically, resurrected around 2006). South Park was still hilarious. Music drastically changed and the 80s sort of came back in a huge way with synth pop. Rap & hip hop became increasingly dumber. Every rock band sounded like MGMT for a while. The 'hipster' crowd and the 'emo' trend got popular. Movies went from prequels to remakes out the ass, and the comic book theme dominated for years. Pro wrestling went from "Ruthless Aggression" to a disgustingly safe PG era. We got the first ever look at an African American president. Some of the greatest entertainers died, like Michael Jackson, Patrice O'Neal, Richard Pryor, George Carlin. Gay acceptance is a bit more prevalent across the western world. There seems to be more school shootings & mass shootings nowadays & kids who commit suicide because of cyber bullying. Female teachers seem to be having sex with their students more often in the news.

    • @barrywoods3227
      @barrywoods3227 10 лет назад

      avedic I agree with this... 85-95 seems a much bigger difference culturally to 04-14! But maybe we just don't see it? suppose the biggest diff between 04-14 is cyber interactivity with the likes of facebook, twitter and I don't even think youtube was around in 04. Music, TV and fashion seems pretty much the same though to me.

    He has gotten SO much better with how he treats women. You can tell he really made a concerted effort to improve on that as he became aware. It's hard to watch these old videos. He's so smarmy, so many innuendos, even the way he's sitting, and he makes women visibly uncomfortable. He probably has a hard time watching them as well. I applaud him for working on himself.

    what is success? I mean russell conquered serious drug addiction from which he nearly died. After that he got his fame and relized the empty superficial vessel that it is and went into himself and found some spiritual ground and now spreads awareness through meditation and talks on addiction. social status means nothing, just another attachment we need to shed and hold onto lightly, we are not our social roles, they are merely a small part of the vastness that we encompass.
