      @@glogmat it's sad that people dont realise how basic and simple it is to have proper manners and respect. Because the manner in which you act defines how people are treated by you... and simply having manners of this nature make people feel personally recognised, listened to and spoke to directly and in a way where everyone feels they are being given respectful attention whenever they are speaking or in a conversation, or being spoken about for example.
      Maybe that's why people feel it's so 'personal' and 'love how respectful he is' - because far too many people have either not been taught proper manners or decided they would refuse to afford their fellow humans proper respect at some point in their lives for whatever reason....

      Roberto Benigni, in Italian and in his best years, was in that league too. These guys can improvise and fire jokes at the speed of light, and when they let loose it's amazing to witness. It's also very challenging for colleagues to keep up and not feel upstaged, which is why these characters often are not particularly popular among their peers... Most news shows, try to make a mockery of him, one way or the other. Russ picks up on me it, and throws it back in their face, everytime. If you don't understand why giving him that, was an insult, then that's why you don't understand him. Although, it is hard to tell, his true intent. He's certainly clever enough, to put on an array of disguises. But, he even speaks of that, and admits that he's...human...and has an ego. Few to no celebs do that. Even people who aren't famous, can't.

      +Mikail Elchanovanich Not dangerous lol, look where they took Britain in the 70s with stupid socialist/communist leaders. We'll never fully recover from that. I doubt people like Jeramy Corbyn or Jamima Kahn are doing any serious tripping to explore consiousness, sorry but they are most of whats wrong with this world, people pretending to be something they're clearly not. I mean can you imagine Milliband, Brown or Blair tripping out their nuts? Im pretty sure we would have had a lot more interesting speachs lol

    Russell never did what most people do while growing up.... lie to themselves until the inner child leaves for good, that's why, even though he doesn't follow protocol, people want to see and hear it instead of being offended.

      Interesting how you mention that balance between male and female energy, because that is quintessence underlying element of the world. Each has their advantages and disadvantages but neither would like to admit their flaws and would like to blame the other for the problems in the world. It's a constant power struggle, and that battle can sometimes even reside within the person themselves.

    Find it interesting how a lot of presenters (and audience members) from many talk shows worldwide seem to laugh at Russell Brand at moments where he's obviously not intending to be funny. I feel in his interviews he raises serious political/social arguments and adds jokes to his conversation to not let it "get too deep" and to keep people listening and enjoying listening (and he can be extremely funny). From what I understand, however, his overall goal is to send a positive message to the world and ask for people to help change society for the better. I hope one day people can start taking him more seriously and will realise that what he's says may seem strange to be spoken on a talkshow, but is really raising the questions that we should be raising more. Just because his main profession is a comedian, doesn't mean all he says is intended to be funny and laughed at. WHY is it so dam hard to get people to listen, be affected by, and act on what's TRULY IMPORTANT. Just because its a talk show with comedy doesn't mean we should hold aside the important stuff because we want to keep thing funny.

      Most comedians, including Russel suffer from depression. He has bipolar disorder, that is also common in the comedy circuit. So he's personality has the energy and the terrible lows and lots of in-between. So when not hypo-manic or drawing in that energy, he will be relaxed doing hours of yoga. He can be very mellowed.
      Many comedians draw great humor from depression. It's a coping mechanism in a way.

    • @enigmatic474
      @enigmatic474 8 лет назад +18

      Are you sure he's bipolar? I've never heard him talk about it, and he would have - he's not guarded about any of his other issues. Comedians say the things everyone is thinking but too scared to say to confirm. I had this idea as a small child and was amazed to grow up and realise it's true. The truth of collective consciousness. There's so many similarities between all of us, in the way we think and what we find interesting or funny etc. Obviously there will be opinions that differ but they are usually the outliers for one reason or another.

    I love Russell Brand. He's so incredibly intelligent. I don't think I've ever seen anyone who can respond to such a variety of subjects so quickly & precisely-accurately-with humor, but also with bits of sincere, serious thoughtful comments throughout his trains of thought. It would be so interesting to sit and have a conversation with him. • @ferofax
      @ferofax 8 лет назад +15

      That's a byproduct of years on drugs - it fires up your brain, but too much and you'll fry it instead. Russell managed to get off drugs right at the sweet spot. If you've ever know somebody who's fried their brains on drugs, you know their stream of consciousness is so fast they can practically babble all day, but because of the fried brains they can't make anything coherent come out. So the fact that Russell can talk at that speed and still be coherent means he didn't get his brain fried. Then you add to that mix his wonderful British accent and incredible vocabulary (chaining three words that all mean the same - cyclical, circular, circuitous), and you've got magic. The rate he speaks gives you little time to mince his words and forces you to just take it all in means every word he drops sinks in at a subconscious level, and that's why he's so charismatic.

      ferofax Oh, yes, I knew someone who was (still is?) a drug addict and she was exactly like that personality-wise, very vivid, fast, but I'm afraid she fried her brain, because she already had problems with some cognitive matters (concentration, attention, focus)... You're right, he's a perfect mixture and he got off the drug reel at the (last) right moment, as it seems. Good for him and good for us =)
