I just got mine recently and so far the experience has been positive. The helmet is a bit tight on the cheeks but I trust it will break in eventually. It’s definitely more quiet than my previous helmet, looks very nice in black matte and has a cool design.
Just bought recently. Have been Wearing HD Helmets for years. My first SEDICI 2 SISTEMA Helmet and I must say that it is probably the best helmet I have ever own. I can hear My Music at 70 plus mph and the noise and wind barley. Will absolutely buy another one. Comfortable but I did have to get a size up. Went to Cycle World and tried it on. Very happy. Big improvement over HD/BILT.
I have the original in carbon (wicked deal as a close out) and love that I can keep the shield open on any click. So if you can’t solidly keep the shield open for hot city stop and go, that would be a deal breaker.
when you received it was the color the same as the photo on the website? I've been looking around and feel like the blue in the picture is a different shade from the actual helmet
I've had the helmet for about 6 months and like it. I'd been on the waiting list for a dark smoke faceshield, which had been out of stock for a year. Just came in and as I was changing it a tiny spring flew off into the unknown. Had to order new brackets. A better design would be appreciated.
Love mine so far. Quiet, fits great - little tight on the cheek pads for the 500 miles but breaking in nicely. Decent ventilation. Best thing I did was get a dark tinted face shield - cooled down the helmet considerably in bright sunlight. Chin bar opens a closes easily and locks positively. Visor works well. Overall I think it’s a nice helmet for the price
Would you say it is hot or foggy for commuting in traffic? Compared to an average full face. I ride a lot in 90 degree heat in a Shoei full face, wanted a modular
@@ashuua2909 it does ok in hot humid wx, as long as you’re moving. If I am in stop and go traffic I keep the visor up. I’m not a hiot wx guy so my tolerance for muggy conditions is very low
I have a very oval head with a short nose. I also have fat cheeks. So far, this helmet has fit the bill nicely. Other helmets I've owned squish my cheeks and don't have enough room in front where the chin bar comes down. In fact, my foam microphone would get sandwiched between my mouth and the chin bar. This helmet has plenty of room up front and good visibility. Another problem I've had is with the sun shield hitting the end of my nose. As I said, I have a very short nose. This one does not do that, thank goodness. So far, I am very happy. Oh, BTW, it may be one of the quietest I have used also, as long as the chin pad is in place.
I recently retired my Sistema I and replaced it with this newer version. The ventilation is WAY better than the previous version. However I do have one complaint and its not a minor issue in my opinion, it has to do with limiting my vision: When the visor is in the first or second detent position the rolled edges of the visor really distorts my line of sight when looking over my shoulder to the left or right. It essentially creates a blind spot like a b pillar in a car. It's a good thing the ventilation is so good, I can ride with the visor all the way down, or this may have been a deal breaker for me.
@@kevinkibler2181 The ridge on the bottom (and top for that matter) of most modern motorcycle helmets is a reinforcement ridge. By adding it, the shield can be thinner and flatter which both create a more optically correct view port and one that can withstand debris impacts. So while I agree that sometimes those lower rims can be an issue with distortion, the majority of use / visibility through the shield is way better than with a flat edge for the occasional open shield ride.
Just bought this helmet with the Cardo Freecom. First time using a full face helmet. So far it it's real tight or at least that's how it feels (2X). Got to break it in I guess.
I noticed the same thing. It looks almost identical in shell and visor to the LS2 Metro Rapid. If you look at the old Sedici Sistema 1, definitely bears resemblance to the LS2 Strobe
Thank you, guys. Now I know which Pinlock insert to order since the idiots who run this company don’t make inserts or this information readily available. The visors look identical.
My Bluetooth won't keep a charge. Haven't used it more than 12 times. Now I don't even use the Bluetooth anymore because it dies in 5 mins. I'm so pissed about this.
I have the original. 4 issues I found so far. 1. Noise. Above "average" for modular. 2. Modular difficult closing. Makes fit tighter when closed. 3. VERY tight fit. Compared to my other modular and full face, even with correct sizing, it is tight 4. Fit causing a lot of pressure to forehead, especially eyebrow. It actually go BELOW eyebrows and make the ride uncomfortable. FYI: Chin curtains are pain in the rear if you're using an intercomm, where mic ALWAYS grab or snag as you open and close. This is NOT Sedici exclusive issue. ALL modular have it
Hmm I don't suffer from the tight fit and pressure on forehead with this helmet like you do. It fit real tight at first but broke in nicely after a week of riding. Perhaps you have the wrong head shape for the helmet?
Since nobody knows how the top lever works, does somebody know how to remove/replace the visor? Are there some instructions somewhere on the Interwebz?
These are expected to arrive in mid to late June. If you see any Pre Order item on our site and click the color/size you are interested in, a ETA will pop up to let you know. These are just slightly delayed from their original Spring arrival due to the pandemic, etc. If you have any other questions or concerns, please reach out to our Gear Geeks at cs@revzilla.com or 877.792.9455. Okay so my only question my find is trying to give me the carbon one for very cheap but it's a large and im a small I know I can get smaller pads but where do I find them and what are they called I can only find the cheek pads im curious if I need more than just the cheek pads to fit properly please help and if you can let me know where I can find the Sediki strata 2 pads and liner if thats what it's called
I ride with a Sistema now. I'm looking forward to trying this. I hope the head shape didn't change too much... the old one fit me quite well. Also, a contradiction to mention. The website says 2 shell sizes, XS-LG and XL-2XL. In the video, it says XS-MED and L-2XL. Which is correct? I wear a large, so it might be good to know. Thanks!
The video is correct, the Medium is the last size in the first Shell and the Large starts the second shell. Good catch, the product page will be updated soon. - Pat
Just bought one, got home, went to put my Sena on it.... aaaaaand you can't add a Sena 10C/10S to it. The slide for the sun shade takes up the only usable space to mount one.
I have owned the original Sistema for the past year and a half or so. I don’t like it whatsoever. Noisy and ill fitting and hurts my ears with side pressure and I got the xl to accommodate my Sena speakers. Bad mistake. I should have went with something better initially. My chin curtain ripped and disintegrated after 6 months. Parts no longer available. Looking to replace with a quality Shoei or HJC this week, probably the Shoei Neotec II
The Sistema II is currently $220 on the website right now. Are you by chance looking at the Parlare or Carbon versions by mistake? Those are different models with increased features and therefore price.
I've had this helmet for 6 months and all replacement face shields have been OOS the entire time. No one can say when or if they will be available. I love tge helmet, but won't buy another Sedici.
The owners manual should list specific steps, but most are removed by; pulling the shield slightly down from its farthest deployed position, then pulling each side out of the holder. Installing in reverse of those steps.

Yeah, I agree. I actually got the helmet in matte black. It is a bit tight, but it will eventually break in .
can i remove chin guard from helmet? without damaging it?

It would be very easy fix for them to offer a visor with a straight cut edge at the bottom to fix this issue.

How do you remove the sun shade?
Hi RevZilla, could you please advise...if I am a large in a Shoei Neotec 2 what size will I be in the Sistema 2?
