The idea of a redcap-blooded Malkavian should frighten anyone who knows of the possibilty of such a terrifying amalgam. Though I also wonder how many sidhe-blooded Kinain have already been embraced by Toreador...

To break tradition somewhat, I made a Kiasyd who was going through her rebellious phase. Joined a band, slept around, was heavily addicted to cocaine. Gotta come up with her collection though.

With personal experience I can assure you, the loss of the name is very important in the world of Fae. True Names are just as vital and lethal to them as they are to the Fallen. Which is why the loss that the Maeghar suffered is worse than genocide to an extent and why they no longer can make others like them unless they specifically hunt Fair Folk down to take away the Dreaming from them. An act that most Maeghar don't wish even upon a Kithan they could despise - but will do if they specifically need something that this individual may be able to do for them. Kiasyd is something they cannot say because the broken haven't stopped their hunt, if one type of butterfly were to meet the other - even these nights, it would either involve forced "recruitment" or final death. Fear and loss echo in the Maeghar's flight. Few are ever able to feel safe or familiar anywhere or with anyone - nor can they really congregate unless some group specifically goes out to collect them and they remember how well that went with Marconius's brood. They are strange to Humans, Vampire and Changlings and they are all Caitiff to each other. Ironically something mirrored even by the Weirdlings.
I don't know if before the Dark Ages Fae Vampires had much of a presence to gather under anything as ostentatious as a clan. The Malkavians once also claimed to be fae touched, but their tongues dance and they know not what will wiggle out. When people believed in fae, they claimed all sorts of things and when that belief dried up and the world became more Banal; so too did even vampiric recollection or sight to find how much wyrd walks even under their noses. But then again, considering most kindred don't even know what Seelie or Unseelie courts are, this is possibly a blessing to keep them from all becoming slaves to True Fae in under 10 minutes.
The Kiasyd have a much more uniform appearance, although they are as open to mutation as Maeghar. Typically tall, pale, black pupil-less eyes like a Lasombra that's drunk too much of the Abyss and occasionally can glow under moonlight. Think evil elves that may or may not have drinking preferences to virgins or children. Maeghar can be anything - from several armed spider-men to just unnatural beauty that draws people in. Probably another reason no butterfly can feel at ease even with one of their own kind. Violent reactions of soul and body dysmorphia from both individuals only seems to infuriate Kiasyd despite how cordial and polite their mannerisms may be. Maeghar are also polite to each other, maybe showing the other their famous odious collection, but they tend to just want to leave the other in peace and without incident more than dark wyrdlings.
After the Chicago Agreement, more Lasombra are crossing over to the Camarilla and it would be foolish to not assume this wouldn't include Kiasyd. As to whether or not Ivory Tower will tolerate them less or more than the Sabbat, I cannot really know nor care if they were smart enough to destroy them. As they most likely will try to keep and use them. Which is always a bad idea because even if the original Mages that made them could be dead - or in Marconius's case possibly lost to the dark he mingled with; know that Kiasyd gather information instinctively. They were created for a purpose that something is still utilizing, something that is almost certainly not your ally. Something that likely nothing short than Maeghar could help regular kindred to deal with, but Kindred Society will never treat any Caitiff well enough to win any over to help them combat this unknown entity. Whether it be mage or fae, it has butterflies flapping in the dark to gather secrets, weaknesses and ancient pieces of power that not even the Tremere can hope to match.

So, because of how I didn't like how the Maeghar turned out after the Dark Ages I... may have gone into a creative spur and... created stable bloodlines that banded together into their own sneaky covenant for (at first) mutual protection and now actually wanting a voice in modern Cainite society. Like the Maeghar, they gave up the name "Kiasyd", but unlike their more... anti-social cousins they retain identities wholly their own. Reason for the spur: Kiasyd are a fascinating bunch, being a hybrid of fae and Kindred and when I saw the Dark Age rules for them and the rules for Maeghar I was... inspired. Could feed a family of changelings with the amount of Glamour I invested in that creative act XD

*so,i know you probably heard of the kiasyd a couple times but let me tell you something. You do not want to mess with those guys. Why?
Tell me something,of all the monsters in our world, whats the one that keeps you up at night? Us? Sure theres a couple tremere with oneiromancy or such powers, hell even a malkavian can scramble your psyche to something unrecognizable. But let me tell you when i say that the fae make even me shudder. How do i fear the kiasyd? I dont, not fully. I pity them as well. I met a kiasyd when i visted salem before i was lost to the worlds. An elder at that. Believe it or not she was as timid as they come, yet before i knew it,i heard neverending whispers,i saw things that werent there, and my flesh rotted and burned and i was left running for my life. And that was but one elder. The kiasyd are vampires sure and the blood of caine can corrupt even the noblest intent. But the kiasyd are something that puts the lasombra and tzimice combined to shame. They are neither of this mortal plane nor of the dreaming, living dreams turned nightmares cought between a limbo in every since. Sure the changelings aren't the strongest supernatural. But a kiasyd is something of horror incarnate. They physicaly dont belong in any reality and they know it, kindred even of there kind feel unease around them. Take it from a ravnos whos been stuck wandering and learning. When you deal with faeries, you will always come out wondering if you can call yourself sane.* -a recording of a ravnos scholar aware of the kiasyd

Well, if you haven't gained enough inspiration from the podcast episode, here's a free one for you: do whatever you want. Remember that vampires were people once with goals and personalities. Being a vampire would mould that, but it shouldn't define them. Create the concept before you define the vampire.
