Quickly becoming my favorite ballerina. In the opening of the first Pas, her incredible balance, and then extra extension in the attitude is incredible. She is extremely musical, and so very beautiful. I enjoy her dancing every time.💯🤗💓
Beautiful fluid dancing! Maia Makhateli has really come into her own! I have 'Giselle' by the Dutch National Ballet on DVD and Zulme and Moyna are danced by Makhateli and Sasha Mukhamedov, also now a principal dancer.
I found Maia a few years ago via a snippet from Balanchine's Theme and Variations. She's another like Iana Selenko that can do *anything* well and deserves more recognition than she gets. Is she guesting here? It cracks me up that even on pointe she barely reaches her partner's chin! 🤣 Do you have the coda? And is the adagio from Sylvia a normal part of the celebration scene in this production {it looks like she's costumed for that scene plus they're in the cave}. Thanks for posting, I love all things Maia!
I've read a commenter 'Syzygy' who has said 'I'm late to the party, but for my money: Maria Makhateli'. I quite agree Makhateli's absolutely a very good classicist ❤ 💕 💘 😊! And thanks always to @ TheBunduBallerina for sharing ❤..
Her costume seems to consume her. I know it’s probably not but it seems so overwhelming. Can’t see some of her beautiful moves. Does it get in her way? Be interesting to know. Or perhaps, just nosy. Lovely though 🩰🩰🩰🩰🙏👵🇦🇺
Such a lovely dancer but that costume just looks too m uh material. I was wondering if it got in the way of her legs and movement at all. Sikh really, guess she wouldn’t be wearing it if it did. Just sometimes it hides the movement and flow of her legs. My opinion only, apologies 🩰🩰👵🇦🇺
🎉BRAVO 💐👏❤🌷👏❤️
Quickly becoming my favourite. Just superb to watch.

Gorgeous dancer, beautiful technique and musicality. Her face reminds me of Margot Fonteyn.

Yes, she is guesting here. And the fact that this is a new production accounts for the differences.
