In 2008, this song was mirroring my life with my wife and everything going on around me. It is one of my favorite a-ha songs, but for the saddest reasons. It is haunting and so human!

Great song! Beautiful melancholic melody and lyrics. By the way, a-ha got so many great songs and a bunch of them are kind of hidden for a wider audience. A lot of them didn’t make their way to be promoted as single so that they didn’t have their own videos (wich helps a lot to promote the song Back then and now with RUclips). I mean that I miss videos for songs like Locust, Cold as stone, Scoundrel days, Memorial beach, A Little bit, Birthright and so many others.

The point is that A-ha are the only band who are famous and appreciated all over the world but still underrated and nearly ignored by media or musical programs. A-ha don't only mean 'Take on Me', they're an immense world within the pop music world itself. The best since the 80ies until the present 'I'm In'.

@@annalisatramarin5517 sì sono una fan dal 1986, fino al 1993-4, poi non ho saputo più nulla di loro, pensavo si fossero ritirati nei loro confini nazionali (lo snobismo dei media e tv parte da lontano).
Li ho ritrovati molto per caso nel 2011 (anche dovuto al mio cambiamento di vita) grazie a internet e ho recuperato tutto il pregresso e sono ritornata una fanatica, forse più di prima 😅, da quel momento non li ho più lasciati 😊
Le canzoni che mi hanno colpito inizialmente sono state soprattutto Lifelines e Did anyone approach you, che quindi ho nel cuore, ma direi tutta la discografia del "secondo periodo" è di altissimo livello, molto matura e raffinata.
Dal 2011 sono stata a 2 concerti di Morten e a 3 degli a-ha, ma di sicuro non voglio smettere 😆. E ogni volta è bellissimo incontrare gente che li adora, sì anche italiani. Purtroppo a noi ci tocca incontrarci fuori dai nostri confini nazionali 💁🏼♀️
