One of the most common questions I receive from HR professionals is whether they should pursue a master's degree in human resources. In this video I explore some of the considerations and when it makes sense to explore an advanced degree in HR or business.
Wow! This video was pretty timely! I'm also more happy to see that HR professionals are making videos on RUclips!
This video has been extremely helpful for my situation. I appreciate your transparency on this topic. Thank you!
Thank you, I really appreciate this
Thanks. I will be a senior studying business management and minoring in psychology (because I am thinking about HR, but I did not want to limit myself to HR only) and you helped me answer the question. I think I will apply to HR program still and see if I can get it paid for completely. If not, I will go and work for a little.
heya sir i am india which course should i apply i have 2 option masters in marketing and human resources management.
I think a master degree yes but a banchelor degree no in HR
I study bachelor degree in decisiom science ..... but i love hr so i will take master in hr
His advice is outdated just because today, everyone has a bachelor's degree. I feel like a master's definitely makes you stand out and can make you earn more money too.
Spoken like a champion
My question is what does HR fall under ?
Sociology or no I’m currently a high school graduate and I’m very interested in the HR field but what major does it fall under
As an HR student, HR is related to sociology, but it doesn't fall under sociology. In many universities, HR is a type of business or administration or management or arts and science degree. For example, there are human resources management degrees. There are also administration degrees that have credits in HR. As for business, I'd say that in some universities, HR is part of a business department. In other universities, you can study industrial relations (it's connected to HR) and in the arts and science department. Overall, it'll really depend on how each university categorizes it. It's a social science degree for sure.
So I've been working in HR for about 10 years, but I decided to pursue a Bachelor's in Political Science because I love politics and how they affect employment and emp law in general. I'm thinking of once completing my Bachelor's to pursue a Master in HR. Need some opinions, thank you.
Porque no los dos? Im going to get my MSHRM and then I will get my MSW. Yes ima bust a Toby lol 😂
If you get a bachelor's in HR and realize you don't like it, could you get a masters in accounting?
yes
Ouf that would be complicated because accounting is usually a bachelor's degree. If you don't like HR, you can more easily switch to another type of management or business or administration degree.
Which country would be good to study masters in HR.
