Max's first owner had a CB radio playing 24/7 and that is where Max learned the low voiced chatter that he rambles most of the time. Max's current owner learned that information from the second owner and spoke about it in detail on one of his Q&A videos.
I love how you refer to family members to him. My late parents always called my past cats their grand son or grand daughter and considered themselves to my first two cats as grandpa and grandma. So nice to hear how others talk to their pets about their human relatives the same way. My two cats now are my daughter and son. And to people I know my two new kittens almost a year old I refer to them as the kids. And they ask how are the kids. Pets aren't animals to me. They're family.

I can never get over how precious Max is & how your communication with him is so amazing. More people need to be like this with their parrots instead of having them locked up all day in their cages as decoration. Birds need as much attention as any other animal!

I had a cocktail years ago and he was so stressful I got him as a rescue so he was scared of everything I think what u r doing is amazing and po box isn't bad make it in another town. If I ever absolutely had to nominate my favourite Max video this would probably be it. It has everything: a quiet thoughtful Max at the beginning, then another hilarious conversation with his daddy and backchat in that incomparable deep voice; then going back into 'hi' mode jumping down and running around while Dan comments on the trail of destruction; then finally clambering up the cage with the promise of dinner ahead. Stellar!

His first owner was an old man who passed away. When max gets mad he says I demand a divorce lol. His 2nd owner was abusive n used to hit Max's cage and cussed at him that's where max gets his cheeky tongue. So max talks like the old man , the jerk and Dan n I'm sure he mocks other ppl as well

That voice is actually Max imitating the receiving end of the phone conversation. A good friend of mine has 7 Grey's . Some of the adopted which came from an abusive household.The one would Imitate the male and the female owners abusive fight even the sound of her falling down the stairs and screaming " I'm going to call my lawyer!" lol The others would sing the Star Wars Theme song. But that Robot voice is for sure his phone voice of the Grandma.

If I ever absolutely had to nominate my favourite Max video this would probably be it. It has everything: a quiet thoughtful Max at the beginning, then another hilarious conversation with his daddy and backchat in that incomparable deep voice; then going back into 'hi' mode jumping down and running around while Dan comments on the trail of destruction; then finally clambering up the cage with the promise of dinner ahead. Stellar!

That voice is actually Max imitating the receiving end of the phone conversation. A good friend of mine has 7 Grey's . Some of the adopted which came from an abusive household.The one would Imitate the male and the female owners abusive fight even the sound of her falling down the stairs and screaming " I'm going to call my lawyer!" lol The others would sing the Star Wars Theme song. But that Robot voice is for sure his phone voice of the Grandma.
