I just did this. I didnt have any coconut flour so I used all purpose but reduced one egg and it turned out really light and moist and delicious😋😋 also I added a couple of table spoons of coconut oil because I heard a lot of people saying it was dry. Then topped it with 85% dark chocolate chips and sliced almonds and pistachios. YUM

I feel like I've seen 50 avocado brownie videos now but yours was so good. Strait to the point, informative, possible substitutions, links with more useful info, and you have a very good presentation personality! Thank you so much for such wonderful information and the fact that you explained the reason behind using avocados. I had no idea until your video 👌👍👏. Can't wait to try these. Thanks again!

So i made these for the first time a couple weeks ago. At first i wasn’t too pleased, but i realized i liked them better after having been in the fridge. Being in the fridge allowing them to set gives it even more of a fudgey texture which is how i like my brownies. I give this recipe a b+ !

Made these last night and had to stop myself from eating the whole pan. Dani, this is a game changer for those of us who choose healthy snacking vs crazy dieting. 🙌🏾
I added extra cocoa powder to cover the banana taste and a little bit of water. I used Ghiradelli semi sweet chips throughout and on top of the brownies. 😋 Super moist and delicious.

    • half of cup of real maple syrup
    • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
    3. Whisk in:
    • 3 eggs
    • Half of cup of coconut flour
    • Half of cup of cocoa powder
    • ¼ tsp salt
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    4. Mix and transfer into baking dish.
    5. Sprinkle 1/3 of a cup of chocolate chips on top.

I just tried these and they taste really good. I was really hesitant trying these but I have never gone wrong with your recipes so I went for it. I have had the horrible experience of tasting cooked avocado and I was constantly pausing to decide whether i should continue and risk all the other ingredients. But I did, because I trust you and it was worth it. Thank you!
Also, anyone who is hesitant about this recipe they taste great! I used Applesauce and they were delicious!!It's interesting how you can't taste the avocado at all and the brownie turns out so rich!

These were incredible!! I could also taste the banana (but only slightly). I would recommend stirring the chocolate chips into the batter which makes it but more fudge-like and then adding a few more sprinkled on top for presentation. When I made a batch with only chocolate chips on top it tasted too much like chocolate banana bread.

I made these yesterday. They are really very good. You don't taste the avocado at all, and for me it was the barest hint of banana flavor so even people that don't like or want the taste of bananas don't have to fear them. What I like best is that unlike regular brownies, these don't get hard when left out, but stay nice and moist. Excellent recipe!

Made these this afternoon. I must say they are heavenly!! I swapped maple syrup with organic honey and coconut flour with oat flour, since I had none on hands. Regardless, it turned out to be super delicious. Even my sister (who is a refined sugar addict) couldn’t believe that these were a healthy version of brownies 😅. Thanks for the recipe :)

I made these today. My oven cooked them a bit more than yours, so they weren't ooey gooey, but they were still ok. Definitely not as rich as a regular brownie, but very chocolately, so if you are craving chocolate, it is a good fit. I wouldn't say reach for it if you were craving brownies though. I think they are too different. But I really appreciate a healthier recipe, and one that contains coconut flour to boot! Thank you very much Dani :)

I just came across this video and I have been trying to figure out different recipes that I can use with avocado because I know it’s supposed to be healthy for you. I have very little love for avocados in most situations but I did try this. I didn’t try the coconut flour either because I didn’t have any so I used actually bread flour. The rest of the ingredients were exactly the way they were supposed to be in the recipe. I have to admit I love this. I can’t taste the avocado and knowing that I’m getting the healthy fats I need makes me feel so much better. I am in the process of trying to lose quite a bit of weight. I am way over the amount of weight that I need to be at. So thank you for doing this recipe.

Tried this today saw your video and couldn’t resist. Was a bit skeptical about the avocados but you can’t taste them at all . These brownies are sooo niceee I just made it and I have already eaten 3. It’s slightly bitter though but that something I personally love if that’s different for you reduce the cocoa powder. Other than that criticism this is an amazing brownie it’s so rich and succulent my personal favourite with a few sliced bananas on top when served. If you are hesitant ditch your conscious and TRY IT!!!

These look great! Can't wait to try them. I also have one question to be answered. Here it is: Whenever a recipe calls for vegetable oil, can olive oil be substituted for the vegetable oil? If so, would it be by the same amount? How about doing a 101 on olive oil?

    • @CleanandDeliciousDani
      @CleanandDeliciousDani  8 лет назад

+Pat Hartwick Yes, you can substitute equal amounts, but depending on the type of olive oil you use it may have a very strong flavor. And I will definitely add that to my list ;)

When I made these they came out a little on the dry end, anything you can recommend to make them more moist?

Omgggg I couldn’t believe that taste of avocado brownies until I made it myself today!!!
Mannn I’ve got to say you’ve got some great hidden talent right there!
I used regular flour because I didn’t have coconut flour and the brownie turned out super moist and soft, almost like a cake dipped in milk!
Yummmmm and thank you so much for this lovely recipe, definitely a go to and will make it again, though I might add in a cup of flour instead of half a cup!

This might sound silly could you specify how much is a large avocado? In ounces or cups please? Thank you. I have already tried a few of your recipes and loving them! :)

Think I might add some protein powder as well. Probably need to add another egg if I do so that the consistency stays perfect.
